Since there is no reliable evidence of even one resurrection event throughout history, are you sure that it doesn't more have to do with the fear of death, wishthinking, culture, authoritarian regimes imposing it and martyr ideology? And preaching, promotion. This post is evidence of the latter, while still not being able to provide any evidence that resurrection is possible.

Even to this day, cults prove remarkably resistent to falsification, indeed including even the death of their Chosem One without fulfilling any of his grand destiny. Frequently, they cope by claiming that he just went home to a higher plane of existence and will totally come back Any Moment Now to fulfil the prophecies that time. And over the course of millenia and the innumerable false prophets that have been, sooner or later, at least one was bound to make it big.

As we enter into the Triduum on this Holy Thursday, we have our sights on Easter, to celebrate the Resurrection. In today’s fascinating episode, I sit down again with Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J., physicist, Catholic priest, and President of the Magis Center to discuss some of the evidence and science of the Resurrection. We discuss 3 different ways to prove the resurrection of Jesus, including the Shroud of Turin, of which many believe to be the burial cloth of Jesus. Fr. Spitzer debunks many of the misconceptions of the Shroud of Turin including a break down of the 1988 carbon dating mishap. We discuss how the cloth’s image shows the wounds of Christ in great detail, and how the image on the cloth is a result of a powerful momentary flash of radiation.
…sounds legit…

Like Aun Weor who supposedly had discovered, and was teaching, the keys to physical immortality. But he aged and died of cancer. When alive, his excuse for getting old was that he had no intention to remain after his mission was done, so did not have to preserve the human body used by his avatar. When he died, proponents claimed that he had predicted the date in advance. Others claimed that he was resurrected, having moved into an ancient mummy preserved for the purpose, remaining anonymous until "the leaven fermented"... He might be an FSTDT reader seeing this!
Confused?
