Why should that nation's customs and civil laws reflect the beliefs and practices of just one religion of that country? Why should the taboo's and morality of Christianity be the law of the land?

Why should morality be the law of the land at all? Why shouldn't we just allow for ourselves to determine what is right and wrong?

Is it possible to look at marriage equality without any of the religious baggage?

Is is possible to for Christians to put themselves on the minority end of a culture that believes their entire way of life is wrong, sinful and wicked?

The Constitution, and the people who wrote it. Forget the crap that David Barton wrote, the actual founders openly stated that anyone could worship. Thomas Jefferson hosted an Islamic dinner and had a copy of the Quran. John Adams was a Unitarian.

If we care about the public good, that answer should be obvious. If we don't give a shit, then nothing, not even your god, can give any rationale for having a government.

Exactly what it sounds like. Any person can marry the mutually consenting person of their choice. My wording just now was similar to that used by the Supreme Court in Loving vs. Virginia.

Without law we have anarchy. Most people, regardless of religion, agree on a number of issues, which are obviously not specific to only one religion.
You can determine for yourself what is right and wrong, as long as it concerns you, and don't harm others or infringe on their right to determine what is right and wrong for them.
What is "marriage equality"? What; are you five? Equality means that everyone has the same rights, responsibilities and opportunities. Marriage equality means that you should be able to marry your consenting adult love, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or favorite Big Bang Theory character.

No, they mean "Can Christians imagine what it would be like if their way of life would be seen as wrong, sinful and wicked?", and perhaps illegal and dangerous to boot. I guess, that's what they mean, at least...

Why else would a Jew like Jesus revile HaSatan if the Gnostics and Marcionites weren't on to something? Jesus is also referred to as a variation of Lucifer in Rev. 22:16]

That's reality and always has been. Laws don't write or enforce themselves. And no supernatural being or angels are going to swoop down to enforce them for us. All any government is is an organization of humans with various roles, responsibilities, and powers which as an organization effectively has a monopoly of power over a given area.

The reason it works (at least some of the time) is that people aren't as 'fallen' as you've imagined them to be. It works worse when the people in government pretend they aren't making the rules and that responsibility for that lies with deities.
