Stop begging your wife for forgiveness. Be a godly leader and tell your wife to forgive you and to submit to your godly leadership. If she says this is too hard, tell her welcome to the living the true Christian life is often a difficult battle club.

The fact that he's missing two whole sets of quotation marks in that last sentence actually irks me more than the content.
And actually, TerriblyAmused, there are Christian self-help books whose entire point is pretty much this post.
I suspect the guy got caught screwing around, in which case I doubt the old "submit to my godly leadership" ploy will work. She should reply "OK, let's settle this by the Bible. Where does it say I'm to submit to your godly leadership? Now where does it say I'm to forgive you for adultery? Check Leviticus 20:10* and get back to me."
*And the man that committeth adultery with [another] man's wife, [even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Stop listening to your idiot husband begging for forgiveness. Grow a spine and tell your husband that YOU'LL decide if he is worthy of forgiveness and you'll tell him when you're good and ready. If he says this is too hard, tell him welcome to the world of reality and that relationships are often complicated and difficult.
Truth is freedom, but only when a woman is properly submissive to her man, eh? So men are suddenly the only ones capable of distributing this truth, for some reason? How...convenient.
There is so much violence in these words that I am reminded of Idiocracy .
I think this is for real, not a poe. Otherwise, they'd probably be careful enough to form actual sentences. The last collection of words, terminated by a '.', is not really a sentence, which makes me think a genuine rant was beginning (to possess his mind). I'm glad I don't have to deal with this mean and dumb moron, that's all. This, sad to say, is a more common attitude than you'd think, at least in some parts of the continent, and springs from very common insecurities imo. No different than those guys with the Pamela Anderson video on their computer, on Borat.
Now being a woman in Christianity means asuming your husband's guilts?. Moreover, does it mean to be a total doormat who has no autonomy of her own, not even to sin on her own?. Does it mean to submit to a person who has failed miserabily for the mere fact of having a penis?. Let me put you this way, would you do it in real life, with your boss and your average joe? Well, don't tell me that Christianity empowers women now.
Forgiveness by force. How does that work, exactly?

Um, again please. And try English this time.
You forget a little element. The one who has comitted the wrong is the man. The onus of the problem lies in him, not in the wife. Forgiveness can't be forced. Moreover, how can somebody submit to a person who has demonstrated to be a total failure?. Doesn't it seem incongruent?
In other words, whatever you do, you don't owe an explanation to anybody of your behaviour for the mere fact of having a Y chromosome. But the best is the last part, because he's acknowledging an injustice and, nevertheless, he is like saying: "sorry, God said so"
So, we should admit as perfect a religion in which, against the very logic that God gave us, we have to admit as leader a total moron, by his all admision, because of the mere fact of having a penis. And if it's unfair, well, that's part of being part of the religion. And you still wonder who gives your religion a bad name?
... and if forcing her to submit with your battle club doesn't work, just shoot her in the fucking head, you godly stud, you.
I made a fake account and looked at the introductory posts, and Truthisfreedom was right there, talking about what led him to joining the site. He's been married before, divorced because his wife made "feminist" friends, travelled around having sex with prostitutes and imagines that the church is too feminized and men in the US are suppressed. Sad man.
Wants a good "Christian" wife to succumb to his every "need" and be pure, but has no problem living it up doing drugs and prostitutes all over the world.
This is what I hate about the self-proclaimed Righteous.
Yes, because God forbid you feel any sense of guilt or responsibility for your actions. All Christian husbands are saintly and pure! They can do no wrong! That's why they must enslave - I mean, lead their wives around like children despite the fact that they're grown women. It'll be like she has a second father, don't you just love that Oedipus Complex?
...You are an idiot. Grow up.

Nice. Perhaps someone should mention to Truthyfreedom here that the sauce that's good for the goose is just perfect for the gander, too...
/Check eye.
//Remove plank.
Why do you need to beg your wife for forgiveness in the first place? What have you done that you shouldn't do? How is that "godly leadership"?
If anyone said that to me, I'd firstly say "you need to work on your grammar", and then "welcome to the living the true divorced life"[sic].
Confused?
