In the same article Brian (with whom this quotee is agreeing) reveals he takes a liberal position on gun ownership in that he supports private citizens being able to own and carry them without a permit.

While most U.S.Americans do not consider this to be a liberal position, however, as an issue of personal freedom that is to many people’s distaste and fear, it’s considerably more extreme than wanting all forms of pornography to be legal.

I myself am much more tolerant of firearms than the average Brit or the average liberal, however, let’s face it, hardly anyone has actually been killed by wank material.
