Edit: Also, all Muslims have 'ideals of Jihad', given that Jihad is the struggle to remain faithful, similar to Christians resisting the temptation of sin. It can take the form of a holy war, but 99.9% of the time it doesn't. The word literally means 'struggle', and even in the context of Islam, it's a very generalized term.

This does remind me of something though. Back when I first got online (I think around '94) we had AOL. Actually I still use my old AOL account as a throw-away account. On another note: The DC comics character Black Adam has Black at the start of his name, for a while headed the Black Marvel Family, and comes from North Africa . Given some of the his other comments posted here, I'd say that he is in fact confusing "Muslim" with "Arab".
Even if this is the case, he'd still need to show that Arab immigrants in the past were exclusively Christian, and came here to escape persecution. I've not read too much into this, but I'm fairly certain this is not the case.
They weren't just escaping the Islamic Muslims, they were also escaping the white Caucasians so they could hang out with the black Caucasians.
Also, not to nitpick too much, but I have read about Christian Asatruars existing. During the Christianization of Scandinavia, there were some who practiced both religions, since they wanted to hold onto their traditions, but the Christian forces sought to financially ruin anyone who didn't openly practice Christianity.
