If zygotes had souls, don't you think that their failure at expressing as a human on Earth for any reason outside of their control, would not need to be dramatic? That the non-physical soul could simply migrate or something? What when it happens naturally? What when it is inadvertently responsible for the death of another person like the mother? Would it then deserve some kind of divine punishment?
