It is increasingly evident that the entire "free speech" movement of the so-called Enlightenment was never about anything but getting Christians to relax their blasphemy laws. Obviously that was a tremendous mistake. Again and again, we have seen that tolerating evil merely leads to the rule of intolerant evil.

Yup, tolerating evil, like blasphemy laws, does indeed lead to rule of intolerant evil, like the theocracy we had in Europe during the Dark Ages.
Free speech was about removing that evil and allowing differing viewpoints to be voiced. But it comes with responsibilities; using free speech to discriminate against or persecute others is not allowed. Tolerating evil, and all that...
1st Amendment.
So why are you in self -imposed exile in Italy - away from America - again, VD: even though you 'won' in late 2016...?!
...or perhaps proof that even though the Alt-Shite 'won' with Donald Fart: you actually lost .
Obviously that was a tremendous mistake.
Someone realised that:

I bet they're not the only one: despite being un 'Enlightened' enough to vote your 'God' in.
Well, they've learned from their mistake. And y'know what, Theo? We 'Enlightened' liberals have forgiven them.
So why so much blasphemy against your real 'God'...?!
You could point out to Vox that he himself has used free speech to publicly disagree with nearly everybody (and also to agree with a mass murderer) and thus would have probably ended up tortured and killed if he'd done the same in the time of medieval Christianity.
After he'd then told you how much more intelligent than you he is, plus accusing you of being a plant funded by George Soros, he would counter that that comparison was totally irrelevant on the grounds that in a medieval Christian society he would be agreeing with the status quo.
Therein lies the crux of fanaticism... a total lack of appreciation for the other person's point of view (or, indeed, the other person full stop).
The Koran says you are a blasphemer. Off with your head!
Y'see, Vox, that's what you get when you let religions decide what a person can or cannot say.
So why are you in self-imposed exile in Italy - away from America - again, VD
Has he been doing something naughty? I won't mention Davie Stewart...
Oh dear, I just mentioned Davie Stewart.
OT, Moose, do you have some sort of software to provide short-cuts for bold and italic? because I would be hideously bored doing the amount of (b)(/b) and (i)(/i) you do by hand. Or do you have a magic word? Please tell us the magic word.
I’ve noticed a pattern: american white guy goes abroad, becomes “libertarian,” starts talking about how the “authoritarian” left is taking over the country because of political correctness (generally on college campuses).
Soon the talk starts to be peppered with “cultural Marxism” and ((them)), and discussions about how the only way to escape this cultural tyranny is to make everybody act and believe the same thing. For freedom.
Soon, the American white guy is favoring some sort of benevolent dictatorshipthat is, benevolent to himthat will shut down or kick out the authoritarians and others threatening our liberty.
He becomes scornful of democracy through voting, and the list of people to be freed for gets larger and larger: Mexicans. Atheists. Blacks. Jews (of course). Everybody who disagrees with him.
It must be very lonely being a real libertarian, when it is more commonly a Nazism gateway drug.
To think this guy was in a Techno/Trance group in the 1990s. He certainly didn't absorb the "P.L.U.R" (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) stuff. He's more "W.H.D.D." (War, Hate, Division, Disrespect).
Granted Electronica doesn't always mean "Hippie-Dippie-Raver" (Fascist-Vaporwave or 'Fashwave' being a thing, now) but I always found it weird (since in the early 1990s, Electronica was pretty much a thing for the funky Raver/LGBTQ/Scene Kid/Punk/Non-Conformist crowd).
Have dorks like Beale The Eel ever considered WHY stuff like Democracy, Republics, Feminism, etc. became A THING....or do they just assume the mythical "Mystery Semite Cabal 3000" put some brainwash ray on people?
I just came up with a new pet-name for the mythical "ZOG/Jewish Conspiracy/etc."....
MYSTERY SEMITE CABAL 3000!.... *TWANG!*
But what if the "wrong" Christian sect were in charge? Catholics, Mormons, maybe *gasp* Quakers !? Those evil, liberal, free-speech-and-civil-rights loving bastards!
Confused?
