Scientists first began studying the world around them because they wanted to understand and praise its Creator. Because God shows some of His character through creation, they tried to learn more about Him by studying His creation.
Because they viewed the world through biblical glasses, many creationists made great discoveries and improvements in many different sciences.

And when was the last one, hm? Oh right. Ages ago. When the Church ruled Europe and killed those who questioned it, no less. Then, as scientists gained the ability to actually test Yahweh's account directly (and the church lost its deathgrip on society), the world aroud them steadily demonstrated no signs of any such creator and put the lie to his most famous claims, besides.
Now creationist "scientists" are too busy trying to disprove centuries-old discoveries to discover anything new. Real scientists are unlocking millions of years of genetic secrets and taking the first steps towards assuming full command of our own biology while creationist "scientists" continue their desperate scramble to continue propping up a six thousand year genetic history and a nonexistent distinction between macro and micro evolution. Real scientists are replacing lost limbs with increasingly functionally identical prosthetics while creationist "scientists" tell us to put our faith in magic spells & hard wishing and then, when the chicken's blood and incense invariably fails to have any effect beyond making the nub sticky, try to console the maimed with "maybe god just likes you better this way" . Real scientists are preparing for our spread to the stars while creationist "scientists" are still arguing for geocentrism .
That's true, creationists did, but (1) their advances were not in biology, and (2) their advances were not informed by the bible in any way. The ones who leaned only on the bible were the ones who were ultimately shown to be in error.
Oh, did you miss that point? Well, that explains why you're stuck with a white elephant in Kentucky.
And as they kept exploring the universe, they consistently failed to find God. To quote Tim Minchin, throughout history, every mystery ever solved has turned out to be Not Magic The gaps in which God could be hiding are ever-shrinking. Or, as Nietzsche put it: "God is dead! God stays dead! And we have killed him!"
Of course, this wonderful, complex, grand, whimsical, fascinating universe is the best proof that, whatever its source may be, it certainly is not the work of the narrow-minded, stuck-up, egotistic brute, whose primary way of dealing with problems is "Smite Everything!" with a convulted way to get excepted hastily added, you - and no scientist ever - worship.
"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them."
- Galileo Galilei, Letter to the Grand Duchess Christina (1615)
"Because they viewed the world through biblical glasses, many creationists made great discoveries and improvements in many different sciences. "
Like microsoft and OSn and Linux and stored program computers.
And the theory of evolution.
Biblical glasses leads to Biblical answers. Not science in any way. Even though many early discoveries were made by the faithful they were made independent of , sometimes against scripture.
This is another huge lie, I've heard Ken Ham say this to kids. Not a single piece of unknown science was produced by the Bible, in fact surrounding cultures knew much more, we can track the beginnings of most sciences being published and taught to before the Bible and those after owing to that.
The first part is true, though their reasoning was that humans can get to know God through reasoning. Improvements in technology helped them develop their theories better.
The second part is wrong though. Bibical=/=scientific.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
