I just had a creepy thought--they're out and ready--to institute martial law if Obama is elected. Oy. I need to take off my tinfoil hat............
This is a Christian board. We uphold Christian values. Obama isn't, never was, and never will be a Christian. He advocates the murder of the unborn, who if they aren't properly murdered the first time, they can just be left as unwanted garbage in a laundry room of the abortion/murder clinic. This man's views are not in line with the Word of God or any believer who has their head on straight and is grounded in the Word. If they wish to defend him, they can do it on a democrat board where their audience will be more receptive. I don't want to see it here, and I don't believe I am alone in this view. If I am alone in this view, then everybody please let me know about it in this thread, and everybody can talk about or praise Obama 'till the cows come home.

The fact that he was born a Muslim, went to Muslim school as a child in Indonesia, and is being supported 100% by all of the Muslims and the 'church' he went to gave a 'man of the year' award to the head of the nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan who is now calling Obama the Messiah.
The President of the US is commander in chief of our military. If Islam’s ‘messiah’ has the US military and all her weapons at their disposal, they can achieve this prophecy in very short order.
This NOT anything we want to take lightly.

would you please define "civilization"? is it "civil" to kill babies, reward incompetence while punishing those who work hard and succeed, etc., tolerate a "religion" whose theology is "convert or die", etc.?
One more thing - as for the women who died from back alley abortions -
First of all - the best research has been able to show is that in the 20 years prior to Roe V Wade was that there were only 14 deaths of women from such procedures.
Second - justifying killing a living human being the 'nice way' so that the mother's don't die too makes as much sense as legalizing pedophilia because if they are going to do it any way why shouldn't it be legal so it can at least be regulated.

I had a question which I was hoping God centered christians could help me answer and not my silly physical science teacher.
I used to believe in the big bang because it reaked of Divine Intervention. Out of nothing a gigantic blast and suddenly there was TONS of stuff, surely there MUST be God. However, I recently put two and two together and realize this can't be true. There is no air in space, and flame requires oxygen to burn. There can't BE an explosion in space!
Does this make sense to anyone else or am I missing something fundamental?

This really takes the cake. Being honest, and indicating that your beliefs would make it difficult to maintain any professional objectivity, and referring to someone else, somehow a tort?
Just more evidence of the heavy politicization of our system of legal jurisprudence. And, in any proceeding like this, what will more often than not determine the outcome, is not the facts and the law per se, but which presiding judge and/or venue specific demographics (i.e. from which is drawn the jury pool) it will be "shopped" to. Get Sekulow and the Heritage foundation? Absolutely!

I posted this before at Rapture News under my previous onscreen name of Morgan. But thought I would post it again for any new member who may not have read it before. I wrote it one day about 2 years ago and still reflect back on it often. It is an insight that has helped me a great deal and pray it will help others.
Are You a Decoy?
Some days it seems as though I should never have left the warmth of my bed. Everything seems to go wrong - from
1. dropping my freshly filled favorite coffee cup on my keyboard first thing in the morning -
2. to my computer taking four times as long to process every command as usual
3. and a client calling every five minutes to see if I have that report done yet -
4. To the phone ringing and hearing from every friend whom hasn't called me in 6 months and chose this moment to pick up the phone and want to 'catch up'
5. to every telemarketer in the world calling in between
6. to having everyone I have faxed a report to that day tell me they never received it
At some point - I realize I am under attack. These are not coincidences. And the choice is made - to give in and give up and have that temper tantrum I so justly deserve and therefore be ready to tear off the head of the next person I talk to -
or realize that I am on the front lines taking the hits from the enemy and since he is not omnipresent - if he is messing with me - then that means there is a brother or sister in the Lord who is having a good day and recuperating from a day they need to be able to witness to someone for the Lord.
So, I wave the white flag and accept my assignment as decoy and smile. For, while the enemy was thinking I would destroy my witness and lose my joy - he was wasting his time and another soul was saved somewhere down the street by someone who was not under attack.
I am a decoy in the army of God - reporting for duty!
