Evolution is changes that occur over millions of years to a species...which, to a point, I agree with. If it ends there, yeah, I'll buy it. I don't buy that a new species can be formed by this.

Hint: There is no "macro" and there is no "micro" evolution, at least not in the the way you think of it. These are bullshit terms made up by people that have no clue how evolution works.
DNA doesn't think of itself(Okay, it doesn't think at all) as a new species at any point in time. Once DNA starts evolving, it's not gonna suddenly hit a point and say "Wait. Hold on. I'm about to enter a new taxonomic category created by humans that holds absolutely no bearing on my structure and purpose!" and suddenly stop.
If you accept evolution, then you're going to have to accept new species come from it.
Hint: Evolution doesn't give a shit how you feel.
Evolution isn't going to suddenly change how it works because some one says "This makes me uncomfortable and challenges my beliefs".
People with this idea of evolution miss a critical point. If one allows that "micro-evolution" happens, then "macro-evolution" must happen too. I mean, if 10,000 steps of "micro-evolution" happen to a species, is it the same species?
Not that fundie, in my opinion. At least he knows the differene between micro and macro evolution, and is willing to accept the fact that species do change over time. He also accepts the fact that the world is older than 6000 years...
So now comes the question: why?
Why can't one species change into a different but similar species by accumulating genetic changes? "I don't buy it" is just an excuse to not think about it, one way or another.
saying that evolution can happen on a small scale but not on a large scale...
is akin to saying that it's possible for me to hold one pencil, but not for me to hold five.

But there is no difference between micro and macro evolution. That's the whole point.
When enough changes have occured, it doesn't resemble the original species any longer, but has become a new species.
Millions of small changes over two million years will transform a sligthly ape-like creature into a human, a chimpanzee, a gorilla and an orangutan.

How about several decades - or even several years ? Consider these:
The bacteria that eats Nylon. A man-made substance that didn't exist before the 20th Century.
MRSA. Need I say more?
Besides, if Creaion is fact, then the Common Cold would have become extinct, as the early humans became immune to the original strain.
PROTIP: Micro evolution is still Evolution. Even bacteria/viruses changing to adapt to their new environment (to survive antibiotics/vaccines) still contradicts Biblical Creation.
Here endeth the lesson.
Confused?
