We are trying to help Portland, not hurt it. Their leadership has, for months, lost control of the anarchists and agitators. They are missing in action. We must protect Federal property, AND OUR PEOPLE. These were not merely protesters, these are the real deal!

Considering how Trump pointedly includes ICE and border patrol agents as reinforcements for his black bag patrols? I’m going to say he very much is sending the message that everyone who doesn’t get in line behind the idea that he is the sole will of America and making him personally great is all that matters while every American life, business, and branch of the federal government is merely a resource to be put towards that goal isn’t American in his eyes. “They’re fired” so to speak.
When this all started I thought being President of the United States was just going to be Trump’s retirement scam, that his big ambition was going to be abusing power over the law to favour his areas of financial interest and making a pipeline from the treasury to his pockets with only occasional forays into petty attacks on others for the sake of his ego and he’d be happy enough to put it all behind him once he’d bled it for all it was worth. Holy fuck was I ever wrong. He’s gone full dictator and even beyond my worst expectations of modern Republicans with their power-hungry disregard for the rights of those that don’t directly add to their power base and fascination with forcing society to revert to a white-washed 50’s stereotype with all the racism and sexism that quietly suggests kept quiet with a heavy hand I wouldn’t have thought they’d be so willing to roll with it.
All this is the end result of Pig Vomit being so terrified of losing the protection the office gives him. The nightmare in Portland is just another extension of that. PV is so goddamned stupid there’s no way he thought of all that himself, no, he has flunkies to do that for him-namely “Skin Suit” Miller. He’s simply trying to prop up his sinking poll numbers & with it, his floundering non-campaign. For some reason, he believes that dispatching his Gestapo to Portland will save him. Tear-gassing mothers & non violent activists never works well, & with so many people already against him, he’s only making it worse. But since he’s proven time & time again that he never learns anything, count on this being done across the country. When I said years ago that he would burn the country down to save his criminal ass, I didn’t necessarily think it would be so literal.
