On the contrary, I admit quite often that I don't understand the damned thing. Mostly because it appears to be intentionally obtuse overall, generally illogical and specifically nonsensical (Revelation, anyone?). The parts that do make sense are violent, brutal, hate-filled and morally bankrupt.

How nice. Is it supposed to mean something? I don't particularly care what the writers of your particular selection of fairy tales for adults had to say about atheists.
What's really sad is that Psalms 53:1 doesn't say that. Psalms 14:1 does.

On the contrary, I do understand the bible. It is the compilation of mythologies of an ancient desert tribe. It chronicles events that may or may not have happened and tribal heroes who may or may not have existed.
It promotes the survival of this tribe and its identity by emphasizing its uniqueness and superiority over all the other tribes and, consequently, the uniqueness and superiority of its members.
Try to wiggle out of it as much as you like, but you can't deny the fact that these are stories told to children to make them aware of their Jewish heritage and to serve as guides and patterns for their adult lives.

I used to work with disabled people giving not my money, but something more valuable than that. Time. No christian helped out. All of us were atheists.

I understand that perfectly. And it's bullshit
When I read things like this I really really want to print out my own version of the Bible and start handing it out to fundamentalist Christians. I could tell them this is the newest, most accurate translation and put all kinds of s*** in it like "Thou shalt squirt mustard on thy head on alternate Tuesdays, lest Hellfire be thy fate." Hey, if it's written in the Bible it's automatically true.
