This is an absolute
Captured
Anti-truth
It's obviously and certainly
A social epidemic
And everyone knows it
Even
The butchers
And their enablers
A steadily growing body of scientific evidence demonstrates that "rapid-onset gender dysphoria" claims do not reflect transgender adolescents’ experiences and that “social contagion” is not causing more young people to seek gender-affirming care.

Its not Rapid Onset Gender Disphoria. It just means the parents didn't know their kids had these feelings for a while, were clueless, and when they were told think it must have been "sudden" and want something to blame. So they blame ROGD and the friends their kids hang out with, instead of accepting their children for who they are.
Here is the thing, while parents may not pay attention to their kids, kids are paying attention to their parents. If a parent says transphobic things, they know who their parents are listening to. A kid is not going to come out to that parent. They will however look for people their age in similar situations.
People like Dr. Peterson is why kids are afraid to tell their parents these things.
Maybe Peterson is a Vogon in disguise.
(When I first typed "Vogon", it autocorrected to "Virgin". Make of that what you will.)
Peterson, you disgust me. I dislike and despise all right-wing grifters, but I ESPECIALLY find scientists who become grifters abhorrent. Once upon a time, you wanted to become a scientist, wanted to help us discover more about ourselves and our universe. And the public trusts us to want to do this. But then (and sadly, you are not the only one at all) you discovered that you liked your own biases more than you liked scientific rigor. That it was more profitable for you to use your status as a scientist to spread populist misinformation than slowly improve upon the giant model of the universe we call science. And you became a deplorable person who has lost sight of your own fallibility long ago. I pity you. As a scientist, you can’t fall much lower than that.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
