One could argue that Picquart got his position in army intelligence (a sudden rise in rank) to uncover false evidence pointing to someone other than Dreyfus, and then subsequently being rewarded for his loyalty by being promoted to Minister of War (another stellar rise)
You guys never question historical narrative? Did you know america went into the vietnam war motivated by a fake attack on american vessel that never happened?
