I am sure ALMIGHTY GOD who is in heaven receveived Mary Shelly (who wrote Frankenstein in the early 19 century) with open arms when HE called her to glorify and rest in peace with HIM for eternity.

I am sure about this because HE rewarded her for realizing that although GOD gave mankind all his intelligence in abundance and without limit even share in HISproc-creation of mankind itself, , Mary Shelly still realized that no one can play GOD. Because there is only ONE GOD who created heaven and earth and man and woman out of his abundant love.

Alfred curmi has left out the obvious comparions with the relationship between Frankenstein and his creation and that between God and man, particularly Adam and Eve.

Frankenstein creates a creature for his own glory, but once he gives his creation life he is instantly repulsed by it due to it's imperfections (namly it's ugliness)- imperfections which he himself built into the creature and for which he rejects, shuns and eventually abandons his creation, causing it great suffering.

The creature later educates himself and becomes aware of the injustice of his situation, sets out to destroy God.

Now tell me there are no obvious parallels between the book, Genisis and the rise of atheism (or at least, the questioning of God/religion) as a result of science and the enlightenment.

Edit: Musn't forget the negative portrayal of organised religion and relisious leaders when the priest agressively cajoles the woman into confessing to murdering the child, when she was innocent.
