I believe the Bible is the literal word of God.
Thus I believe there truly is a firmament, the sky is the firmament.
We are living on a flat disc earth, surrounded in a physical firmament, in which God's watches over all of us, like a snow globe.
I believe the rhetoric that Earth is a spinning ball moving a millions miles per day around the sun, in a solar system, in a galaxy, in a universe, is a complete and utter lie, to try to hide God from us, and take away the relevance of planet earth, God's main creation.

This is just depressing, to be honest. Assuming this isn't a poe.
People like this simply should not under any circumstances exist in our modern age. And if they do, they should be commited to an insane asylum. No legitimatly sane person is so detached from reality.
Why is it that the thought of "....Earth is a spinning ball moving a millions miles per day around the sun, in a solar system, in a galaxy, in a universe...." isn't enough marvel and wonder and awe for the deist, as it is for the rest of us? You certainly have a tight-assed puny little god in mind, I'm sure.

Atheist: "Surely you can't be serious!"
MaxR1996: "That's for me to know and you to MAYBE find out! And don't call me Shirley!"
A literal Bible Christian who knows what literal means. Refreshing.
Could you explain verbatim to them too?
Hate to break this cordial discourse with an unsettling truth,,but.
Did you know some people knew the Earth was round, spun and travelled around the Sun before men literally created your God, literally plagiarizing the stories from other myths?
Brutal honesty is refreshing, rather than the usual attempts to shoehorn bible passages such as "circle of the earth" into claims that it predicted a spherical planet.
Though it is sad that they take Ken Ham's "no apparent, perceived or claimed evidence in any field, including history and chronology, can be valid if it contradicts the scriptural record" so seriously.
Snow globe cosmology strikes again!

I really don't understand this sort of reasoning. Why would scientists want to hide God, if he exists? Why would they want to diminish the importance of the human race, or the relevance of Earth? What would be the point?
A far more likely explanation for the universe is what the scientists are saying. They have no reason to diminish our importance, or to hide the existence of any god. They are committed to finding out how the universe works.

You need to come up with better sources than http://www.christiananswers.net
YECs have been lying through their teeth about shit like this all the time.
Clearly, you failed ALL of your Science courses. You should go back to first grade and start over.
Anyone who has ridden in an aircraft at 10,000 meters altitude has SEEN the curvature of the Earth. Next time you fly, take along a ruler, look out the window, and you will see the horizon curving.
You are living proof of the failure of modern faddistic education.

...MaxR1996BCE said, whilst living in a rusted old U-Boat in a certain river in Egypt, concerning what happened on 4th October & 13th November 1957, then 12th April 1961, re. the first artificial satellite (Sputnik-1), first Terran lifeform - Laika - and Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space, respectively.
Oh, and a certain Dr. Buzz Aldrin - a Conservative Christrian - would like a word with you.
"We are living on a flat disc earth, surrounded in a physical firmament, in which God's watches over all of us, like a snow globe. "
Is this snow globe sitting on turtles that go all the way down?
Confused?
