That is, of course, begging the question that there is a "G_d" to begin with. But we're not even going to address that, are we? We'll just begin the whole discussion with the implicit assumption that He is there, hanging around somewhere in the clouds, just waiting for one of His creations to offend Him.
A couple of bears, a few rude little brats, pfffft , there's plenty more where they came from. Besides, they weren't embryos any more, so who gives a shit? They're better off now, anyway.
Because it makes God out to be a horrible monster? I guarantee you there is not one child who has never called someone else names. It's all just part of childhood. But the fact that these Christian idiots don't see any problem with having these children mauled by bears in retaliation just shows what kind of monsters could worship a monster like God.

The problem isn't God judging people, the problem is his penchant for grossly disproportionate retribution. You know those cartoons we laugh at where someone pulls a tag off of a mattress and gets arrested for it? Well, think that only instead of being arrested you're dunked in a vat of broken glass and sulfuric acid instead. THAT'S the problem. Your god is a horrible judge who rarely uses strict but humane punishments and instead prefers to use as much pain and gore as possible.

The problem isn't god judging people. The problem is that he gave them a ridiculously harsh punishment.
God could easily have just temporarily made the children bald, so that they could learn some empathy.
But instead he goes straight to mauling them to death with bears.
