Yes, of course. People forget, Christianity is a religion designed specially for psychopaths who care little for morals. Instead, they prefer to appease the High-Lord-Genocidal-Maniac-in-the-Sky before He directs His wrath at San Francisco and destroys half the Bible Belt.
So you only strive to be moral because of the threat of Hell? How is forced morality any better than atheists who are moral just for the sake of going good? And if your salvation has no connection to your morality, then you're admitting that Christians think that they can do whatever they want as long as they accept Jesus.
So, you strive to be moral so you don't go to hell, while being moral has no connection with going to hell, did I get that right?
So you behave morally for the exact same reasons that a small, underdeveloped child does: to avoid punishment. Doing good for the sake of avoiding punishment does not make you a good person.
Also, whoever's in charge of handing out salvations sounds like a douchebag.

Damn right, it was. Did you know that his performer, Dave Brockie, died last year? I know neither he nor Oderus was exactly a household name, but that still stung a little. :(
If morality has nothing to do with salvation, then all these guys who tell us the world is going to hell because of immorality are just spitting in the wind, aren't they? ....But I knew that already....
