Many people (liberals, atheists, etc.) does not believe that Adam and Eve were real literal people. They don;t realize that the Bible is literal history of the world.

WHAT ? Then by your logic, we would all be inbreds, because Kain and Abel MUST'VE been motherfuckers. There weren't any other people around, so yeah...
Many people (fundies) do not believe that Adam and Eve are fictional people. They don't realize that the Bible is full of fictional stories.

Sure. The bible might actually hold some truths, ie that Jesus actually existed, but his dad was not a skypixie and his mom sure as hell had sex before she got pregnant. He was an ordinary man who stood up against the Roman oppression, that is it!

No, Ask and Embla where the real first man and woman.
Really! It's true! I swear!
Maybe you should read the Rigsthula as well, to find the origins of serfs, freemen, and lords.
It's true!
Why do you fundies keep denying the truth?
Bam-Bam and Pebbles are just as real and literal.
Beren and Luthien as well.
Defender loses. The bible doesn't say jack about East Asia or the Americas, for starters.
Many people (christians, retards, etc.) does not believe that Adam and Eve were not real literal people. They don;t realize that the Bible is a Sumerian myth passed on to the Babylonians passed on to the Jews passed on to themselves.
Fixed.
Many people believe Winston Churchill, Gandhi and Charles Dickens are fictional characters, many more think Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood and King Arthur were real.
Which is why, though history may be written by the victors, historical facts are not decided upon by popular vote.
Trust me, I am not related to you at least not by the 100 or so generations since, according to your fable, we were incestuously created from Noah.
Grow up.
Hey, the rest of the post was funny too.

This month we celebrate Christmas. A time when we recognize Jesus Christ who was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life and would die for all who would belive in Him. Libs do not get it still. The whole reason that Jesus had to do this is becuase of What happened to Adam and Eve and humanity. It's literal. It's real. And people who preach the flashoods of Satanism called evolution will answer when Judgement day comes and Jesus rules supreme over all His creation.
PaulBurnett answered:
"The Defender" makes the laughably ignorant claim "...the Bible is literal history of the world. This month we celebrate Christmas."
I hate to break the news to you, but Jesus was not born on December 25 - nor was he even born in December. And nowhere in the Bible does it say that he was.
The early Christian church did not even bother with Christmas for centuries - and then they chose December 25 because it was the feast day of the pagan god Saturn (Whose Name we celebrate one day every week). See, for instance, http://www.allaboutjesuschrist.org/was-jesus-born-on-december-25-faq.htm
And spreading lies about a connection between Satanism and evolution violates the Ninth Commandment - or do you still believe in that?
And if "the Bible is literal history of the world," please tell me: How many legs do beetles and grasshopers and locusts have? (Hint: They're insects.)
The whole site is good. In another article (clue: it starts with the attributed quote “We’re Here, we’re queer, we’re in the classroom.”) the writer's email address is about 2 pixels away from a sponsored 'gay dating' advert. Heh, heh...
The Bible's two differing accounts of creation are the literal truth, BOTH of them. In other news it appears many people (liberals atheists) does not being making the good use of the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them . . . . To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them.
@The-
U is sooo rite. I for 1 doesn't belief in the A&E storie, maybe coz I'm athiest AND librul.
@David B.- but, but, but . . . Saint Nicholas and Rob Roy -
surely THEY were real.
Weren't they? And a rabbit that lays colored eggs every spring . . .
Many people DOES NOT...?
They don,t realize...?
Many people (liberals, atheists, etc.) realize that you are a moron.
Adam and Eve were real literal people
- Just like Pinnocchio, Donald Duck, Rumpelstiltskin, Goldilocks, Snow White, etc.
@ David B.
I read the same story. Did a massive 'head-desk.' Just came out of coma. After reading this shit, I wish I just stayed comatose.
Kidding, of course, about being in a coma. Still wish I WAS in one, though.
Ah yes, Genesis is true, but the laws of Moses can be picked over, and the words of Jesus are in desperate need of translation.
So does your grammar and spelling show that you are a product of home schooling?
And, on average, atheists and liberals tend to be more educated than Bible-thumping hillbilly fundies.
Coincidence? I think not.
Then you should beat to death every disobedient child or man with long hair, or stay away from all women on the rag, etc.
I just want some consistency, if it is literal truth, then no more picking and choosing.
Well if Adam and Eve were real people, that means that, since Eve spawned from Adam's rib, they preformed the horrible sin known as incest.
You lose.
take a look at eye color. There dose not exist in a single breeding pair of any animal, including humans, to have enough variations to account for all the eye colors of humanity. Also, inbreeding will destroy all species.
I find it odd that some people are more willing to believe that they are from a line of one inbred family created from 1) dust and 2)human bone that talked to snakes and murdered one another than to believe that they evolved over time, with or without the guidance of Creator.
Evolution does not disprove God, or vice versa. That a Biblical myth is a parable or symbolic as opposed to literal is no sign that it does not offer some kind of truth. Taking the Bible as literal does far more harm to faith, God, and Christianity than any scientific process ever could.
They don;t realize that the Bible is literal history of the world.
Yeah...about that...I have a confession to make. I sorta made all that stuff up!
I didn't mean to. My room mate dared me to when we were both stoned.
None of it is true.

PROTIP: The blessed Stephen Fry is an Atheist* :
'But perhaps, you know, we should believe in Adam and Eve. Geneticists have established that every woman in the world shares a single female ancestor who lived a hundred and fifty thousand years ago. Scientists actually call her "Eve", and every man shares a single male ancestor called "Adam". It's also been established, however, that Adam was born eighty thousand years after Eve. So the world before him was one of heavy to industrial-strength lesbianism, one assumes.'

From this straight man, gotta love Stephen Fry: a fellow Argument Annihilator:

So, which literal history of the world is the one describing the creation of the world; Genesis 1 or Genesis 2? They can't both be right, as they contradict each other on a number of points. Or, God created two worlds, which begs the question; is the world we live in his first or his second attempt? Are we the sketch/draft or the real deal?
Many (perhaps most) Christians don't believe that the bible is literal either. They go to church to reinforce their desire to be good, moral people who love others and behave themselves decently. When you think that the specific details of the stories that are obvious fairy tales are more important than the words and principles of Jesus, you've slipped over the edge from religion to cult.
the Bible is literal history of the world
Your Bible mentions 'Giants'.
Thank you for admitting that "Macross Frontier" is a documentary, then: the 50-80 feet high Zentraedi.
Confused?
