As you pointed out, Kiwi Farms doesn't like science when it disagrees with their "trannies are delusional and should Get Help and shouldn't be allowed hormones" argument. GenderCritical is the same way. When a large number of studies like Dhejne's show HRT works and the only study showing non-transition stuff working is the pimozide study (with a sample size of one patient), suddenly it's pseudoscience and a conspiracy by Big Pharma to sell hormones/a conspiracy by the Patriarchy and TIMs to rape women in the locker room.
It was only real when it said that gay people are mentally ill, huh?
I can't be the only one who noticed that the "they should get help instead of catering to their delusion" phrase spammed by Kiwi Farms and GenderCritical is exactly what was said about gays.
Paul McHugh fans like AnOminous are exactly the personality type to complain that homosexuality being delisted from the DSM is political correctness run amok because activists lobbied for it. Never mind that homosexuality doesn't meet the criteria of a mental illness. Never mind that, unlike gender dysphoria, same-sex attraction doesn't require any treatment.
For example, I've seen Kiwis complaining that American cities no longer have laws against crossdressing, the rationale being that if we had the repressive state of the pre-Stonewall era it would be good because we'd have no trans lolcows like Zinnia. In another thread, a commenter blamed stuff like the Jazz Jennings story on "the media is run by Satan." A commenter posting the verse about how men wearing women's clothing and women wearing men's clothing is an abomination got lots of likes.
Look at Kiwi Farms threads from 2014 and 2015 and they are nothing like this. Not a smidgen of the highly-upvoted Christian/TERF fundie shit seen in the 2018 threads. Even in the Stefoknee Wolscht thread people accepted mainstream scientific findings on gender transition and drew a clear distinction between non-dysphoric transtrender lolcows like Wolscht and actual transsexuals--and between the Rat King lolcow circle and other trans people. The original CWC fanbase like Marsmar and Manajerkop weren't fundie like Dynastia and AnOminous. I don't know if what changed in the interim was an influx of users from other places like /pol/, or users like AnOminous seeig trans lolcow after trans lolcow and becoming unhinged about it--like how czakal on Diversity Macht Frei started off with "look at these crazy, evil leftists and nonwhites" (and, as implied by the blog name, wasn't pro-NS) and ended up arguing in 2019 that Holocaust survivors had longer life expectancies than their contemporaries because "the prisoners were treated well in the camps" (never mind the previous revisionist argument that high death rates were purely due to wartime conditions and not planned extermination).
LateStageCapitalism: "wow, look at all these instances of scumbag, evil, predatory corporations, if only we had communism and state control of the economy we wouldn't have this problem!"
Kiwi Farms: "wow, look at all these instances of dysfunctional, crazy, predatory trans lolcows, if only we had the government crack down on trannies we wouldn't have this problem!"
