No, if anything it would harden their hearts. What they might say at gunpoint to try and persuade you not to kill them doesn't have to have anything to do with what they actually believe.

So, according to your theory, the butchery in Columbine should promote homeschooling, because people might perceive school as less safe, and it´s not the case. Matthew Sheppard should make degaification camps more popular, but people are regarding gays with more sympathy. Marc Lépin, far from making women look more evil, convinced everybody that feminists were right. Do you know what happens with martyrs............?, that´s how Christianity was popular. If you kill somebody for HATE, far from making people step away, they think there must be some truth underneath.
See, unlike him this would be a viable position for myself (I'm pro-abortion, not choice, some people should be removed from the genepool forcibly at this point, those genes have had their chance.) As they'd likely be the individuals I would be looking to remove from the genepool, and I make no jokes about being pro-life.
You're confusing intimidation with conversion. I know the difference is hard for you to grasp, being a fundy christian psycho and all, with christianity's history of "Convert or die!" proselytizing. But try to understand: people get pissed off when you threaten them. Any change of heart they seem to have is only cosmetic, and will only last until they can throw your ass in jail or nail you between your beady little eyes.
