Oh, nothing much. Just merely a healthy dose of Reverse-McCarthyism in the US, in which the Religious Right, right-wing Fundamentalist Christianity and generally anyone remotely related to such are given what they've always had a stiffy for: Persecution.
After all, one can't consider themself a True Christian if they're not suffering in exactly the same way as their 'Saviour', therefore they'd welcome being subjected to witchhunts, show-trials, and generally being treated like the subhuman pariahs they really are, should they not...?!
