More uninformed assumptions. Do any of you ever learn or get tired of being wrong??? That generation did not huddle in a safe space, curled in the fetal position every time someone hurt their feelings. They had their flaws but nothing like the amoral, narcissistic, soft…and undisciplined generations that came after them and that are now drowning in their self pity and victimhood and celebrating their ignorance in so many ways. And then blaming their shortcomings on everyone else, thus making them unable to break from their cycle. Basically…what your post just demonstrated! 🤣🤣🤣 Don’t try to tell me what I think…there’s no hope you could comprehend my thoughts. 😉 Go have a soy latte and whine over how you are perfect…victims. 🤦🏻‍♂️

So, for context for those who don't want to follow the link, it's in response to a general thread about corporal punishment being brought back for a school. And others recounting how it didn't work/they got out of it by protective parents, some comments on how the people who were super eager to bend a young, nubile trouble maker over and paddle their upraised behind often seemed to be pervy.

And of course, it's really a testament to people just wanting to abuse kids vs actual constructive punishment, since smacking trouble makers around really doesn't help people long term, and can be a detriment overall.

This bitch seems way more happy to just try to be smug about blaming "tue weak generation" about perceived issues and how great the other ones were.

Seriously, is personal anecdotes and all that, but I've seen all sort of trash behavior by both young and old people. In my experience, while the younger generations can certainly be more prone to audibly complaining about things in general, older generations are usually more spoiled and demanding.

…You know, here’s a very valuable lesson I learned from Rick & Morty of all things; it does not matter how right you are, if you’re an asshole about it, NOBODY wants to give you the satisfaction of being right. Think about that. I personally have found it much easier to yield and concede the argument if the opposing party was a good sport about it than if they weren’t.

Now, suppose you were put in a position which you couldn’t escape from. Then you were promoted to Major Bumsore via Corporal Punishment.

For basically nothing.

Now, apart from those who are into that sort of thing: and unless you’re one of them, you have never learned and certainly must be tired of being more than wrong, OP.

Doing that to a child? Now here’s the reason why it’s no longer allowed: doing that to an adult, you’d be arrested for assault.
