You appear ignorant of all the deregulations he supported when in office. A whore of the elites is not the same thing as standing away from the elites. He claimed to be working for the people, but that was to trick you, you seem to have fallen for it. He also called the free press the enemy of the people, you know. Just read about the importance of free press in a free society and how control of the press is important for dictators. It's not suppressed for nothing in Russia right now. So basically "the people" was misrepresentation for "me and my acolytes".

Actually, whether Donald Trump is part of “the elites” depends of what kind of elite we are talking about. If we are talking about the financial elites amd especially Old Money, then yes, he definitively is one of Them. But if we are talking about the intelligentsia, the cultural elites - and this is what they primarily mean -, then Donald Trump, the epitome of the rich prole, is definitiively not among Them.
