"The fact that religion is widespread across time and cultures shows that it meets the evidential standard determined by convention or community"
Bhutan: Buddhist.
Burma: Buddhist.

Japan: Zen Buddhist.
Laos: Buddhist.
Macau: Buddhist.

Thailand: Buddhist.
USA: 6,333,371 people are Buddhists. Buddhism is recognised as a religion according to protective rights enshrined in the US Constitution, and Federal Tax laws as exempt.
So Siddhartha Gautama - who did exist way before 'Jesus', and whose religion he founded started way before Christianity did, and still exists to this day - is God, eh? You said it, Johnnie-boy, I didn't! [/hyper-smartarse]
And didn'tcha know? Atheists can be Buddhists, following the Eightfold Path, thus Humanism: all the goodness of Christianity, none of the 'belief' bullshit. The one known as the 'Buddha' or 'Enlightened One' existing doesn't do any harm, neither.
Buddhism: The only religion that promises nothing, and delivers.

...so, you want to make that call, re. all Christian churches & related organisations in the US giving up their Tax Exemption status and paying - backdated & with interest - all those untold billions, nay trillions in back-taxes owed to the Treasury, or shall I, seeing as you lot always claim that yours isn't a religion, but is 'A personal relationship with Jesus Christ'...?!
Aye, there's the paradoxical rub indeed. >:D
