Creationist interpretations get as far as mentioning the supernatural and get shitcanned because it’s not science.

They absolutely HAVE to end up in the place where Genesis is accepted as literal, so they pick and choose the evidence and THEN tie the acceptable bits into a interpretation.
Scientist explanations have to accommodate all the (actual) evidence.
