Age of consent is basically an imaginary boundary. It's a good idea mind you, because it keeps pubescents from making stupid mistakes and prevents real pedophilia (sex with a prepubescent), but if there's parental consent involved, I fail to sse the problem. As stated in the article, they ARE legally married.

I admit to exaggerating a little. But the fact remains that if parental consent was involved, it is much less likely that advantage was being taken.

As in the married article, they ARE statedly legal.

One’s a couple of kids doing some naughty touching, the other’s an adult taking advantage of a kid’s mentality. That’s the difference.

Well, and that’s part of the issue - in my experience, the dudes who want to sleep with teenagers even though they themselves aren’t teenagers anymore are very immature. They don’t want to live with mommy anymore because that means following the rules, but they also don’t want to grow up because that means they will have to take care of themselves. So they try to find the next girl (not woman) who is willing to take care of them but also won’t impose any rules on him, so he gets to have it both ways.

That's not necessarily true. There is a depressing amount of parents who are willing to sell their children down the river for a quick buck.
