Given the OP's description of his attire, I am assuming "lingerie party" meant one in which the partiers wore undergarments, not one where lingerie was sold, on the order of a Tupperware party in days of yore. (Do they still have those things?)”

Globetrotter: “yeah, Jan, makes me feel old. if a girl got drunk and passed out at a party when I was a kid, somebody probably would have driver her home and ****ed her, and everybody would consider it pretty fair. as a father of a son and daughters, I am conflicted on the changes”
Jlibourel ^I think the fact the girl was wearing lingerie and seemingly nothing else puts the matter into a different dimension. I mean, having too much to drink at party is something most of us have done in our wayward youth. A "lingerie party" sounds more like a borderline ****--at least to this old fud!

I look forward to you two finding out about “;no means no”; in, oh, 20 years.

^Guys who take this "no means no" business too seriously get laid a lot less often than those who don't!

A certain amount of coy resistance is inherent in female sexuality, I think--and I don't just mean human females.

A harsh, firm "NO!", and, yeah, I'd probably back off

I don’t see the big deal about letting minors consent to sex. I remember being 13 and knowing which things I wanted and which I didn’t. Even at 9 years old, I held meaningful opinions about things that were happening to me
….

Problem: A 20-year-old man has sex with a 13-year-old girl. Was it consensual?
Solution: Let the girl know that her answer is entirely private and that no harm will come to her from answering or testifying in court. Then ask her if the sex was consensual. If she says yes, don’t waste any more taxpayer money on the case.

Let’s take your logic further - Are there any 10 year olds who are capable of giving consent? 8 year olds? Certainly there are some who think that they are. Are they just because they believe it? Is there no victim?

I have no reason to think it’s impossible. I’d have to look at each case individually, unless presented with medical evidence that 100% of humans younger than N years are incapable of giving consent.

if the child doesn’t feel she has been victimized, she wasn’t subject to any force or fraud, and she (as an individual) hasn’t been found incapable of giving consent, I don’t think she’s a victim.

And I don’t think we can possibly help the child by telling her, “I know you don’t feel like anything is wrong, but what happened was very bad, and your friend is a very bad man who will be going away for a long time,” creating a painful memory from what was otherwise a pleasant (or at least unremarkable) experience

yesmap wiki, David thorstad #moonbat #psycho wiki.yesmap.net

LGBT Hypocrisy
The LGBT movement is not so much a "community" these days, but an expedient political lobby. It is very easy to identify internal contradictions, cynical strategies and realpolitik when one assesses the state of the modern movement.
@David Thorstad

"One obvious contradiction in the assimilationist position is that if homosexual identity is inborn, as they say, then why do they oppose freedom of sexual expression for minors? Assimilationists argue that sexual identity is fixed by age six, but they deny young people the right to enjoy sexual pleasure with the person of their own choice."

However, pederasty didn't suddenly disappear the moment a taboo was placed on it. A perfect example of this is how gay men fetishize "straight boys" in the porn industry, or the feeding frenzy that ensues on user-shared porn sites such as LPSG, whenever a boy celebrity turns 18. The resulting search among users is invariably for self-shot/leaked photographs of the young male's preferably erect penis. While "gay for pay", "straight boy" models are over the age of 18, these tend to be scenes in which young "straight" males are cast as inexperienced and juvenile in character. The producers are thus "taking advantage of boys" by tricking them or using money to have their way with them. The relative popularity of this type of content in the gay porn industry is sometimes seen as "displaced pederasty" or at least a hangover from the "seedy" sex trade in boys that received so much attention in the 1970s before fading out

And it occurs to me that since statutory rape crimes are ‘strict liability’ (i.e. the older person’s knowledge/lack thereof does not affect the criminal charge), how can you hold a man responsible for doing 14-17 y.o girls who look, act and dress like 18-19 y.o. s

These laws were written at a time when girls didn’t pretend to be older women, so perhaps its time for a change. Yes, it is difficult to prove that a guy ‘knew’ she was 17 not 18, but really…but if its ok for companies to sell thongs to 12 y.o., how’s a dude to know if he is commiting a crime??”

Sengkelat: ”Blaming the victim” always sounds like a bad thing to do. But if a 17 year old girl chases after and ends up sleeping with an older man, is she a victim?
My sister, when she was 16, dated a 22 year old guy. She was stoked that she got this guy. Both parties were pretty happy with the arrangement, and she wasn’t traumatized or permanently scarred. I certainly wouldn’t say she “entrapped” him, since he had the power to decline anything she offered, but at the same time I would say she’s 50% responsible for any statutory rape that occurred. Or possibly more, if she lied about her age. Am I now “blaming the victim”?
As for the laws, it’d be nice if there was a better way to define if a person is capable of giving consent other than their age. I know 25 year olds that don’t have the maturity to understand the consequences of their actions, and I have known minors who had better judgment than many adults.”

ivan_astikov #sexist #psycho boards.straightdope.com

I’d be more inclined to believe Vidal’s account than anyone’s that has posted in this thread.

Regardless of what the statute books determine rape to be, why is it so difficult to consider that Polanski’s victim might have been a teenage slut?

Because even if she was a “slut,” it’s still rape to have sex with a 13 year old girl? And by her account, it was not just statutory rape but forcible rape?

Well, she would say that, wouldn’t she?

As for her age, I’d bet that at least 50% of males on this planet, if they had a physically mature, attractive young lady waving her tush at them, would have done the same thing. Knowing her age might decrease that number, but there still wouldn’t be only Roman Polanski answering the call.

Well, the judge believed her testimony. Why are you so determined to paint her as a conniving little slut–because Gore Vidal said so?

Why is everyone else so determined to paint her as an innocent young victim, is just as valid a question. I’m giving Polanski the benefit of the doubt, because I’ve heard enough stories about teenage “star-fuckers”; what are your reasons for believing her account of the event?

I’m no saint by any stretch. But I wouldn’t rape a 13 year old girl who thought she was willing. Nor would I forcibly rape any woman.Seriously, are you such a weak kneed pussy that you can’t hold your own against a 13 year old girl? Do you truly have less character and force of will than a 13 year of child?

Can you point out where I said I’d be among the 50% that would? I know I am a honorable man, but I don’t know that about everyone else. Polanski might not be a honorable man, but I wasn’t there when this incident happened, so I’m not going to pontificate about what an evil man he is, based on one girl’s testimony. Now, if you can show this was not an isolated incident, I might be more inclined to join in with your faux outrage.

Woman wears clothing that invites men to look at her in a sexual way.
Woman struts her stuff to show off her body in an area that's not so safe.
Woman gets raped.
Sure, the guy is definitely at fault, but sometimes it takes two to make something happen. Maybe if women would dress a bit more conservatively, maybe if women wouldn't be showing off their body so much, maybe if women would watch what they're doing at parties and such, we'd see a lot less rapes.

Do you walk down the streets of the ghettos at night wearing an armani suit, and carrying a briefcase full of cash? Of course not. That'd be inviting a mugger to rob you blind.

…
Doesn't matter if it is a robbery, rape, murder, there's the person who commits the crime... and then there's the person who the crime is committed against.
If the latter invites the former by being an easy target, or an attractive target, then the latter is partially contributing to the crime.

Everybody has a responsibility to act maturely and in such a way that they are protecting themselves from such crime. Sometimes crime happens anyways even if you do take all the precautionary measures, but if you do something absolutely stupid and you become the victim of a crime... then yes, you're partially to blame for it.
Everybody is responsible for their own personal safety. This includes women and skimpy clothing. There's no reason to wear skimpy clothing other than to get men to lust after them. Is it really THAT big of a surprise when a woman who was wearing that trashy clothing gets raped? Now, obviously, if a woman was not wearing trashy clothing and still got raped... then no, she's not at fault (unless she did something else stupid, like drinking at a party or something) at all.
…
If you're a woman wanting to avoid being raped, then yes... you should not be wearing skimpy clothing and perhaps you should be avoiding parties and drinking. Perhaps if the woman in question weren't wearing trashy clothing, men might have a little more respect for her, eh?

Lovecrafts #sexist #psycho mmo-champion.com

The moment you start victim blaming, is the moment you make it much easier for rapists to actually get away with it. You can recognize that it's dumb to act in a manner that would entice people, but in the end a no means no. I also clearly said 'act', because I don't believe that dress is a valid way of enticing people. Just because a girl is wearing a tiny dress doesn't mean she is trying to entice men.

Lovecraft's: “Sorry but as soon as she willingly starts making choices to do things that will incapacitate herself from protecting herself (getting blackout drunk with strangers and shooting up drugs), then she has to shoulder some of the responsibility. Honestly think how much people would learn if they figured out that bad choices lead to horrible consequences. “

Xaelai: “Praytell why ELSE she'd be wearing skimpy clothing?

I can't think of a single practical use for wearing skimpy clothing other than trying to look sexually pleasing to men. Unless she's Bi or lesbian or something and trying to look nice to other girls, but still. Is there really a need to be walking around in public dressed like that? “

. A young woman from Norway, 24-year-old Marte Deborah Dalelv, naively thought she could do the same in Dubai, but was shocked to learn that what passes for "rape" in Norway is criminal conduct for women in Dubai. The courts in Dubai didn't agree that her story constitutes rape, and sentenced her instead to 16 months in prison for fornication and drinking alcohol.

….
One side of a story is almost never accurate, and here we only have the woman's story quoted. Even so, Marte's story does not add up to rape even if she is telling nothing but the truth. She describes only token resistance in going to the man's hotel room before willingly going to bed with him, and then blacks out and implies no resistance at all until she has her regrets the next morning as she wakes up naked. There is no violence; only drunkenness and regret. The case could hardly be more stereotypical of regretted drunken sex redefined in retrospect as rape thanks to feminist rape law -- minus the feminist law. The accused rapist is just a normal, persistent man, behaving like I have done many times and any of us would. Only with perverse, misandristic laws can this be rape, and I am pleased that Dubai rejects the hateful precepts of feminist rape law that Marte thought she could get away with.
…
Marte Deborah Dalelv was at worst taken advantage of while drunk and careless, like any normal man would do, but she was not raped. I am happy that she is now experiencing a backlash for her hateful attitude that she is entitled to have men imprisoned for our normal male sexuality.

Recently in Florida a 23 year old female teacher has been accused of having sex with a 14 year old boy

Im not sure how people got this reversed, but she was not the one in the position of power; he was. As soon as they had sex, he had the power over her, not the other way around. He, literally, was fucking authority. He had her career in his hands at the same time he had other things.

What power had she over him? What, give him an F in reading class? 14 year olds arent stupid, the kid had to be aware that she had far more to lose than he did. No, the power was in his hands. If anything, I think a good case could be made that this is an issue of a male taking advantage of a female when she was in an emotionally delicate state. Show me a 14 year old who is stupid enough to think a junior-high or high-school teacher can have a lasting bad effect on them enough to be coerced into having sex and Ill show you a 14 year old in 5th grade.

Hell, [bshes only 23, barely out of childhood herself. The older I get, the less of a difference I see between a 23 year old and a 14 year old. Kids are kids.

And yes, I for one recently have a daughter. I believe, and will tell her so, that if something feels good, and she think she wants to try it, to go for it. Thats how one learns. If she doesntlike it, great. If she does, great. But then Im raising a human being, not a unit.
Who the hell cares if some people have sex a year ealier than the norm? So the hell what? Not being like everyone else is something to be proud of, not worried about.

How do you define “child molester”?

Someone who makes sexual advances toward a youth who is unwilling or unable to consent. (“Consent” being defined according to common sense, rather than any legal age limits.)

(Looks like I’ve been misspelling molester. Oh, how far I’ve fallen since I was a spelling bee champion…)

So basically, nothing is abuse unless the child says “no”?

Or unless he’s incapacitated or drugged, or so ignorant about sex that his consent is meaningless. Same standard as I’d apply to anyone else, regardless of age

So, you are proposing a legal limit at around age 12?

No. I do not support legal age restrictions.

What you propose is reckless endangerment of kids at the hands of abusers, rapists, and molesters in the name of some cheap kicks for a few.

Nonsense. What I propose is allowing minors to make their own decisions about their own bodies. I do not condone abuse or coercion.

Alright so let's put this into terms you can understand.
A guy could walk into the party, take a date rape pill himself, lay down buck-naked and spread-eagle on a bed before he passes out and still be completely 0% at fault.
Better? Because both are true, it doesn't mean they weren't stupid actions, but when someone is raped it is due to the aggressive actions of another person NOT their own. Doesn't matter the gender, or the situation.
Na-ah. Millions of people have aggressive sex every day. It is our biology. It is just some stupid attention whore cunts learned how to gain notoriety in some modern societies while doing so.

So, in your opinion, what is required for something not to be treated "rape"? Signed waiver?
Should next time I come home late and see my wife sleeping in some sexy wear be afraid of touching her because she clearly didn't gave me any consent yet?

That is a FANTASY, and it is NOT rape by any means. Men have the fantasy too.

The only difference between "fantasy" and "rape" is whatever she liked her fucker or not. And that's royally fucked up part.

What's always bothered me was that the preconcieved stereotypical predator often overlaps the streotypical adult gamer and comic book nerd. Being an adult gamer, it annoys me.

The bigger problem is that they are acting like pedosexuality is 'abnormal'. Frankly, I am a pedosexual and have found that most men, when I ask them, would sleep with an underage girl if they could get away with it and most women would do the same with underage boys, because they are 'easier to control' as one woman told me! The only thing 'abnormal' about pedosexuals is that we are HONEST about our sexuality and see nothing wrong with it, just like homosexuals who used to be called 'abnormal' because they didn't see anything and don't see anything wrong with their sexuality. I have not see ONE child who was not dragged into the social workers office where I used to work by their parents or some other asswipe who had 'moral outrage' thinking that this child was sexually active more than them.... which is what it usually amounts to, jealousy towards the child in question. I also have to say that most of the 'harm' from underage sexual encounters come from the reaction of society to them. There were three girls in my high school class who had been 'sexually abused' by their father, and had NO problems with it until their mothers found out about it and made a big fuss about it, getting their fathers put into prison. Then the girls had problems, because they didn't really want their father put into prison and felt guilt over that. They finally helped get their father out of prison by recanting their testimony, telling what their mothers had threatened them with (killing them, in two cases), and having their mothers put into prison because their mothers were abusing them physically and emotionally. It is just past time to stop with this 'sexual morality' BS and realize that there is no such thing as a sexual act that is 'wrong' unless you are PHYSICALLY FORCING SOMEONE INTO IT OR THREATENING THEM WITH PHYSICALLY FORCING THEM INTO IT. There is no such thing as coercion by keeping something from someone (unless it's food or shelter).

I'm perfectly willing to admit being attracted to minors, and I challenge anyone who thinks that makes me the least bit perverted, or "sick" (I'm 25, btw). When girls sexually mature around 12-14, calling a 16 year old a "child" and trying to stigmatize the idea of being sexually attracted to her is rather dubious, to say the least. I am not, however, attracted to actual children...

Originally posted by tpg0007:
Maybe we should rethink the definition of "children."
In short, this.

------

I understand parents dislike the idea of their girls having relationships with older men, and let's be honest, parents tend to get apoplectic whenever the sexuality of their daughters (especially their daughters) is concerned, regardless of the guy's age. Fine. I'm not a parent, but I understand being protective. On the other hand, maintaining that a 15 or 16 year old girl, while no doubt somewhat immature, is incapable of having consensual sex, is nonsense.

So, Pamel, in your story, there's difficulty, because the man was already in a position of power, authority, and influence over the girl, so that may complicate things. How can anyone tell the degree to which she was coerced by him? It may be impossible, even for her, to know. I'm not sure the best way to deal with those cases. Keep in mind, however, that there's certainly an amount of coercion in every human interaction, especially where sex is concerned. So, it's muddy. I am of the opinion, however, that it's entirely possible for a 30 year old and a 15 year old to have a free, non-coercive, consensual sexual relationship. And if they do, the 30 year old shouldn't be demonized or called a pervert. It just might be tricky to tell whether the relationship is, in fact, non-coercive. I'll grant you that. Let's be clear, though (just as an aside). Even if it is, it doesn't make the 30 year old a pervert. It may make him an asshole and a bully, but there's nothing perverted (or paedophilic) about being attracted to a sexually mature individual, regardless of the age difference involved.

The arguements for an "Age of consent" or regulation of sexual relations are put in place to protect the kids (Minors, etc) but what if you have a truely curious under age person who is interested in exploring their sexuality with someone older? People tend to assume that doing so with someone in your age group is for the best (After all, doing so with someone older is a crime!) but from a dispassionate point of view, is it really?

An older, more expirienced person is more likely to use a condom, as well as more likely to use it correctly. They're more likely to use lube and take precautions. Do you honestly think it is better for a gay boy to have his first encounter where there is tearing of the tissues? Likewise for a girl.

I personally agree that an adult should never have sex with a minor they have sway over (Preist, teacher, etc) but I also think the law as it stands does a disservice to "advanced" minors who just want to expiriment with more expirienced people. Or, horror of horrors, actually falls in love with an older person! (I know in highschool I lusted after a certain biology teacher. She wasn't MY teacher, but dizamn was she cute.)

Many of the arguements against are typical reactionary knee-jerk bullshit. How often do you hear "But it is bad for the kids!" or "It warps their little minds!" without anything else to back it up? A thinking man might say "Well, the female's vaginal tract doesn't fully mature until 18-21, making it much more prone to damage before that age" (true, btw) but no, you get idiotic out lashings. I'd even go so far as to say that it is those idiotic outlashings that CAUSE most of the "warping" that society's knee jerk reaction of "That is wrong He touched you in a naughty spot!" does more damage than the act itself.

To all lolicons, what about real life loli?
How much does your Japanese-influenced moral allow you to sexualize let's say:
image

eh?

I personally do not believe in the whole 'age of consent', this supposed 'children don't know what sex is' is bullshit to me,
first because 'knowing what sex is' is a pretty vague and ill-defined term, secondly, I haven't seen any research being done into it at all, thirdly, there have been countless cultures par locum et tempus where it was normal practice for children to have whatever sex, even with animals without any psychological trauma to them. Classical Greek and Rome, classical India, Classical American civilizations, Arabia, and of course Japan. I'm pretty much devoid of moral in the conventional sense, that is disapproving of things 'because they are sick'. So indeed, I sexualize some real life loli. With the stress on 'some', æsthetic people are rare for me to meet, attractive people even more so. As I already let know in the gender role topic, I don't think that much in 'age' and 'gender', I do think in 'cute', I like cuteness, and that's more so often found in loli.

...
Plead guilty

Edit: Nahh, the main criteria for pædophilia is the exclusive or primary attraction towards children, as it's long been shown that almost all adults show equal sexual response to præpuscent as to adults, and just chicken to admit it. I have no morals or shame in that. A loli, a loli, my kingdom for a loli.
