Does the Left apply the same standards to fathers who abandon their children because it’s not a convenient time in their lives to have children as they do to mothers who end their babies’ lives in the womb for similar reasons?

Well, all the MRAs, MGTOWs and their deadbeat ilk certainly think so, or indeed consider their treatment far worse…
Not really. I don’t know of too many fathers who died in childbirth.
And it’s not a baby until it’s born. So abortion is a completely different issue from child abandomment. I wuold judge fathers that walk away from responsibility along the same lines as mothers who leave babies in dumpsters.
And for those states that are pushing anti-abortion laws, i hope you’ll put in some money for cleaning your dumpsters.
Well ... this is tricky. If he takes off after birth, then there is an actual child involved that has needs to be met, whether the father wanted it to exist or not. Just pawning it off on the mother after it's born and abandoning all responsibility is cruel and unfair to them both. If he doesn't want to be a father and she's on the same page, helping her get an abortion is a responsible thing to do. But then again, men don't really have an out once the egg is implanted, you know? Contraceptives can fail, and if the woman decides to keep it then the man really doesn't have anything to say about it. It's unfair, and honestly it must feel awful to get caught in a situation where you absolutely do not want to have a child but can do nothing about it. And I know there's really not much anyone can do as long as pregnancy happens inside someone else's body, but it feels like maybe some men just don't see any other way out. It's shitty for everyone involved in that case.
But bottom line - I'd much rather see people getting abortions than birthing babies they don't want.
I'll repeat something obvious I recently wrote. Instead of building straw men to blame everyone else for all of the world's ills, how many orphans are you taking care of, to show you actually care about kids?
Confused?
