The Left rejects the New Atheists because it was never truly atheist or secular. It is merely anti-Christian and anti-Western. The Left embraces Islam because it presently serves as a more effective anti-Christian weapon than the atheism or secular humanism upon which it previously relied.
The heart of the Left is Neo-Babelism, which is inherently globalist and Satanic in nature. All of its various ideologies, from communism to feminism to neo-liberalism to progressivism, are nothing more than the skinsuits it wears in its endless war against God. But unlike the New Atheists, the Neo-Babelists are not warring against the idea of God, much less questioning His existence. They are actually at war with the Almighty Himself, and His son, Jesus Christ.

@Judges 1:19And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

Does not look good for you and your "God".
I kinda get the logic of communism, neo-liberalism, and progressivism as "Neo-Babelism," as they all advocate a degree of internationalism (or even abolishing nations in the case of OG communism), but why feminism? Gender equality does not contradict nationalism, though it is true that feminists tend to lean left on other issues.
I have seen an alt-rightist talk in a negative way about how "tomboyish" the Nazi ideal was, and to be fair they did contradict themselves a good bit on Kinder, Küche, Kirche in practice.
The Left rejects the New Atheists
TimeToTurn suggests otherwise:

And TTT is part of 'The Left'.
Old Left, New Left. Old Right, Alt-Shite .
Same name, same old disease, VD.
We're getting under someone's skin: otherwise, why did you go into self -exile in Italy?
You did 'win' after all, late last year...! [/Chopurcockov]
@Thinking Allowed
New Babelism is some nonsense strawman Vox came up with.Pay it no mind.
New Atheism, on the other hand, is an accepted term describing the modern movement of atheist activists in speaking out against religion. People like Christopher Hitchens are credited with helping to start/further the movement.
New Atheists were one of the deciding factors in me losing my faith, but I've personally grown out of the movement. There was always a hint of cultural supremacy there, and the unfortunate reality is that New Atheism contributed much to the alt-right, at least from my understanding of it.
"As far as they're concerned, protecting Muslims from Christian Fundie discrimination and embracing Islam are basically the same thing"
Same as fundies claiming that accepting homosexuality will lead to abolishing age of consent to accommodate pedophiles, because "They're both examples of Sex Acts That God Forbids! Basically the same thing!"
"The Left embraces Islam because it presently serves as a more effective anti-Christian weapon than the atheism or secular humanism upon which it previously relied."
And islam embraces the left because it presently serves as a more effective anti-Christian weapon than the atheism or secular humanism upon which it previously relied. That's why islam supports gay rights, womens rights, freedom of the porn press, and women running around loose with naked hair.
@Zinnia
I read one of the more coherent fundies claim America is the leading Christian nation. Islam hates christianity, atheists hate christianity so obviously muslims and atheists are allied to destroy America.
The more common fundies seem to "think" because they hate islam and atheists with the same furious passion they must both be the same thing.
So "The Left" rejects "New Atheists" for being "anti-christian".
But "The Left" embraces Islam for being "anti-christian".
Have you read what you wrote?
Now pull the other one...
We disagree with some New Atheists on specific issues, and in some cases we think they're too politically right-wing for us. Atheism was never meant to be a unifying force anyway: I have much more in common with a progressive Christian or Muslim than with a right-wing atheist, and I think that applies to most progressives as well.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
