While we are at it is there even one positive reason to be in or even have a U.N. The stupid thing was originally established to eventually create a one world government. We certain do not need the filthy thing in America. Get rid of u n and all it’s stupid special interest groups automatically disappear with it, can’t get much better than THAT.

The U.N. was specifically established to prevent anything like the World Wars from happening again. Whether it succeeded at that or was just throwing sawdust out the window to prevent elephants* can't truly be known, but I'd like to think that it helped at least a little.
As a basis for a world government, it's really weak. I doubt it would work well, if at all.
*Old joke: "Why are you throwing sawdust out the window?" "To keep the elephants away." "But there aren't any elephants around." "Works, doesn't it?"
Why is all of humanity finally uniting such a scary prospect? Any form of global government would certainly include a significant amount of federalism and/or devolution, and well-established cultures do not simply dissolve just because there is a new level of governance at the top.
