Seems like you’ve skipped a step, there. 50,000 years ago, every clan had to fight daily for food, for shelter, to fend off the saber-toothed squirrels, and, as you put it, defend themeslves or their family.
I would say that most of the people in prisons, the ‘street-thugs’ and especially serial killers are not defending themselves. Rather, they’re actually a THREAT to society. It’s not what you’re saying it is. I mean, your premise is that women evolved to look at a man and ask, ‘Can he fight off the tigers? Will he keep me and my kids safe?’
But these says, people cross the street to avoid men who look like they might rape or rob them, and it’s pretty much a given that Serial Killers are NOT protecting anyone.
If your thesis was a compelling one, these women should be throwing themselves at famous cops, FBI agents, Border Guards.
