You don't get it. She says that if you go that far with someone that will fuck you no matter what, you can't say no. It just won't work and there's not much you can do other than physically push the other person away (which in most cases won't work for obvious physical reasons). Not all men can switch their primal instincts to procreate off at will. You have to have the mental fortitude as a woman to decide whether you'll go that far before you actually do. It is exactly why she's saying drinking equivalently with men is not about "equal rights" it's about avoiding stupid situations where a "no, i've changed my mind" won't make everything go away. Let's face it, when you add alcohol to the equation, all reasons get thrown out the window.

Every man without something seriously wrong in the brainspace can 'switch their primal instincts to procreate off at will.'
Don't suggest that men can be overcome with an unstoppable urge to rape. That's simply bullshit.
That's bullshit. If men can't keep control of themselves after drinking alcohol, then they shouldn't be drinking period. There is absolutely no excuse to not stop if your partner says no. At any point. Grow up and take responsibility, asshole.
"Women have to control themselves because we men can't be expected to control ourselves", part 2645485.
Excuses, excuses, excuses. Civilized men are supposed to rise above their primal instincts.
Wtf is with this site? Why do we keep getting weird rapey and pedo crap from this site? Is it not actually about MMO's or is it short for something else?
It's definitely an MMO site. However, they have a general off-topic section, and there seems to be a handful of mods who are obsessed with posting stupid "articles" about rape and pedophilia... and a number of alt-right wacko members who come into threads randomly and start spouting off the Faux Noise approved talking points and trying to act like edgelords. And most of the posts are from that group.
One thing about this kind of scenario he's talking about doesn't make sense to me...
If I was ever so drunk that I completely lost all inhibitions and couldn't stop making advances towards a woman...uh, well...I probably wouldn't be either coordinated enough to attempt rape, and/or "up" enough if ya know what I mean.
I've been pretty drunk around women I found attractive, and the worst thing that I ever did was tell them so. LOL
Not all men can switch their primal instincts to procreate off at will.
Right!
And not all men can switch their primal instincts to kill off at will. These men are called "murderers" and are put in prison.
And not all men can switch their primal instincts to aquire possesions off at will. These men are called "thieves" and are put in prison.
What's the difference?
I don't know what's worse. That you honestly expect us to believe that men can randomly lose control and become complete monsters over things like alcohol, or that you think this isn't a justifiable reason to severely inhibit most mens ability to participate in society (or at least ban their ability to obtain beer) to ensure no one gets hurt by it.

I, for one, think that the 'guys can't help it , especially when drunk!' crowd knows that, more or less deeply down.
So they figure it's safe(ish) to use it to promote the idea that women must take responsibility for men's sexual behavior.

Sadly, the idea that women are responsible for men's sexual behavior has been baked into male-dominated society for millennia. Nowadays, it's a strong component of Christian Patriarchy, practiced by the fundiest of fundies.

Self Control.
It's a thing.
And here's another idea of a kind of right idea twisted out of proportion. Only there isn't really any actual right there either. Sure, a man cannot turn off his instinct to procreate, but that doesn't mean he's incapable of not forcing the procreation on a woman. We do have instincts that pretty well hard-wired, and are usually fully active in each individual (there are variances), but we get to teach ourselves . . . and have taught by other throughout our childhood and into adulthood . . . how to actually behave and focus those instincts. If we weren't, we wouldn't be able to type about it on this site, because this site wouldn't exist. Nor would any other website, or the Internet, or computers, and any technology advanced beyond a sharpened rock tied to the end of a damn stick. So, okay . . . the germ of an idea that he turned away from before he ever got there.
You can always say No. The problem is whether the other person is able/willing to understand the No.
Primal instinct to procreate? So, it's not the pleasure that men are after, it's just the offspring that's important? That's why men take out so much parental leave, right?
Why do WOMEN need to have that fortitude? Are women stronger mentally than men? Shouldn't women then be ruling the world, instead of the weak-willed men?
If MEN can't shut it off, according to you, isn't it MEN's responsibility to make absolutely sure BEFORE they go ahead, that the women really, really want to have sex with them?
Not all men can switch their primal instincts to procreate off at will.
But they should be able to. Seriously, if things are getting hot & heavy with a woman and she suddenly changes her mind, I would not want to go through with it. It would totally kill the mood for me. But then, I don't view sex as using someone else's body to masturbate.
The other thing I wonder, with guys that say this stuff...kinda like what Swede said, do they realize they're not exactly portraying men in a positive light? Basically, they're saying we're uncontrollable animals who can't resist acting upon our instincts. And I bet the OP thinks of himself as an "anti-feminist " or "pro-male" or something.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
