Like your ilk wanted to do with Obama. Except for actions Trump demonstrably took that would, if found to fulfill the accused crimes, would explicitly disqualify him from presidency, as opposed completely unsubstantiated xenophobic rumours about the circumstances of his birth that would not actually disqualify him?

Hey remember when your dad very openly encouraged his followers to menace voters and took down ballot boxes on the assumption only Democrats would be using them which is two federal crimes in one because it interfered with the mail? And repeatedly asked multiple people to throw out or “find” enough ballots to let him win? And set up slates of completely fake electors because as he and the spineless unindicted co-conspirators that now make up the modern Republican party have consistently demonstrated the actual vote means jack shit to any of you?

IIRC, at least one lawsuit was brought by Republicans and Independents.

The Insurrection Clause bans any person who previously served as an US or a State official before engaging in insurrection against the USA such as by having their States secede or preventing the election of a rival through a coup from serving again as an oficial unless Congress remove this disability by a vote of two thirds.

Thing is there ARE ways for someone to be disqualified from running for president. If that happens it doesn't matter if people would have voted for him.
