I think fascism is necessary for a modern monarchy to be effective. Democracy and freedom are too engrained in people along with liberalism and other things to really support such a thing.

Extreme devotion to a political movement or party is exactly what we need to have a top down system again that looks out for the long term good of its people.

Like when Fascism resulted in Italy retaining its monarchy, or democracy destroying British monarchy?

At what point, ever, did top-down governments look out for the little people?

Democratic monarchies only allow democracy because they know what will happen if they don’t.

I think fascism and monarchy are both very terrible ideas. Kings and queens and dictators alike can all go fuck themselves.

Just over three weeks ago, when Bozo the Clown went to Buckingham Palace to ask permission to form a government, Queen Elizabeth II said to him, and I quote:

I don't know why anyone would want the job

Frankly, I don't think even the OP would envy her job when - next month, never mind the end of such - 'Brexit' going tits up will be the least of Bozo's problems.

Only a majority of one: and - certainly constitutionally - not even our monarch will be able to help you: least of all a certain Conservative MP who sits in the Speaker's chair in the centre of that two sword* lengths and an inch, come the end of Summer recess at the end of this month: and the debates start, coupled with Prime Minister's Questions...!

Thus, not even this Conservative government - such as it is with that 'majority' - taking more of a turn further to the right will be enough. So many rebels, so little time. The shortest premiership in British history. Tick-tock, tick tock, Bozo m'boy...!

*- Somehow - even if you could put him in a bathtub in the Palace of Westminster - I doubt that using the Mace would work on the 'Leviathon' that is Jeremy Corbyn, Bozo.

For he is the Conservatism-destroying monster you fear most. Ah, 'Brexit': The one thing that'll ensure the Tories will no longer be the 'Natural Party of Government'.

Thus the monarch having to actually exert her power...?!

Fascism isn't necessary.

Sweden is a modern monarchy. Fascism is not what’s needed, but democracy. Sure, our king and queen have little or no influence in the governing of our country, but that’s very effective, I’d say.

Oh yeah, absolute monarchists and fascist dictators are known to care for the little people OH SO MUCH, aren’t they? The historical and political illiteracy necessary to believe that is astounding!
