Why does the North American Union include all of South America?
Also, these proinces seem rather unwieldily large and heterogenous, with two of them stretching almost the whole longitude. Would it not make more sense to form those superstates from actual geographical, cultural and/or historical groupings, like, say, North Africa, Arabia, the Levant and Mesopotamia becoming Panarabia - especially since there are already several regional alliances that, if the EU is supposed to be the first province to be completed, would presumably be intended as the seeds?
Also also, I notice that Georgia, Armenia and Belarus - of all places - are painted as part of the EU, while all of Russia (rather than just Siberia - but then, there seems to be little new partitioning of contemperary territories) is put into Asia. Might this reflect a certain sponsor’s anxieties about losing control over its former empire?
Finally, I note that there are several places, including large, highly conspicuous areas such as Saudi-Arabia, the East of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago and Sweden, have been left uncoloured - and since this includes Benelux, I take it this is NOT deliberate to indicate neutrality. Meanwhile, the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea are coloured as countries.
This is an exceptionally sloppy conspiracy theory, and whoever made this graphic and anyone who finds it convincing is clearly as unqualified to discuss geopolitics as one can be.
PS:
I am pretty sure that if there ever is a world government, there would still be a tier of administration analogous to modern countries and nations - if not necessarily in the current border and with every current nation corresponding to such a tier, rather than higher or lower levels -, since problems arise on different scales. Furthermore, cultures and nations can exist without a state.
I find it strange that these people seem to automatically assume that a united Earth would be a unitary state, rather than a federation or confederation, especially considering how many of them are from the USA.
