Children are not born with "roles" to play, except in the minds of warped, controlling parents. Babies are like a box-o-chocolates, you never know what you're going to find.
Given how much of a heartless prick you are, I'm not at all surprised that you'd reduce parenthood to the mere mechanical act of donating your DNA, with no understanding whatsoever of human relationships. Well, you're a shitty person in general. And your analog doesn't even work. You didn't give birth to your pet. You got them from a breeder or pet shop or humane society. You DID give birth to your kid and biology ensured that you would take care of them and love them. Obviously parenthood would be wasted on you and your like.
I like how people are so mad at this, when in reality this is quite a normal attitude among Christians. Christians are greedy and hateful by their very nature, and don't care about anyone else but themselves when the chips are down - not even their own children. Oh sure they might seem kind at first glance, but their true colors eventually come out.
