Menlo Park’s City Council plans to convert three of our busy downtown parking plazas serving our one-of-a-kind small businesses, into high-density 7 and 8-story subsidized housing projects
…yet, there can be underground parking built underneath that housing: it’s not as if it’s impossible or hasn’t been done before. And businesses can still thrive while construction’s being done: that income into the local economy via said workers.
Like those who will reside in such affordable housing, of any race.
Speaking of race, South Koreans. It wasn’t until about ten years ago when I saw on the backs of phones by a certain manufacturer that I discovered something about said company. One so big - known as a Chaebol over in South Korea - that it has it’s own city within a city in Seoul. Now, where do you think the central HQ of that huge company is here in Britain: London? Birmingham? Manchester? No. The central HQ of no less than Samsung here is in Yateley:
Which is way beyond mere ‘Suburbia’: a village in Surrey.
Which is ironic, seeing as in the suburbs of London is an embassy that is as far outside what’s known as the ‘Whispering Gallery’: what is referred to as the diplomatic connections between all embassies that are located within the capital. In that suburban area, I haven’t heard any complaints about the foreigners residing in said embassy in that suburb here in Britain. Which one?
North Korea.
But that HQ of Samsung in that village. It employs people who live there, thus it’ll be convenient for them. The fact that place is a major distribution point for Samsung. Overall, contributing to the local economy.
And has done no harm whatsoever to the character that is the village of Yateley.
