In New York City’s Washington Square Park, a crowd of dozens gathered for a vigil organized by several left-wing groups to mourn the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian supreme leader who was killed last week on the first day of the war between Iran, the U.S., and Israel.
Mourners waved flags bearing the leader’s face and chanted “marg barg Amrika” (“death to America”). One participant performed a Nazi salute.
Across a police-lined metal barricade stood a slightly larger crowd of about 60 counterprotesters carrying the pre-Revolutionary Iranian flag, as well as American and Israeli flags. Some Iranian counterprotesters articulated an explicit solidarity with Jews and Israelis, finding parallels between participants in this vigil and protesters who expressed support for Hamas after Oct. 7.

Larry Holmes, a speaker at the vigil and a member of the Workers World Party, a communist organization, told the Forward that he had come to “commemorate the martyrs that have been killed by the U.S.-Israeli attack, first and foremost, Ayatollah Khamenei,” whom he called “a man of social justice” and “a man of peace based on his statements about Palestine.” He also hoped to commemorate “the children who have been killed.”

A shrine displayed photos of Ali Khamenei alongside flowers, candles, and images of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Malcolm X. The shrine also displayed informational pamphlets, including “Zionism and Racist Landlords: Abuse From Hasidic Sects in Brooklyn” and “From South Africa to Gaza, How the Islamic Republic of Iran Supports People’s Liberation Everywhere.”
One vigil organizer struggled to continue his prepared remarks as counterprotestors danced and made Middle Eastern ululations of joy called zaghrouta to celebrate Khamenei’s death. He paused to say, “I am feeling very invalidated tonight.”
(1) Judaism is a uniquely evil religion. Christianity: anyone can convert, though exceptions have often been made to exclude people. Defined by belief. Islam: anyone can convert. Defined by belief. Judaism: Primarily defined by blood quantum. Conversion discouraged and reluctant.
(2) Judaism was practicing something akin to racial blood quantum based exclusion before race even existed. It's not a surprise that it lent itself so easily to ethnic supremacism in Israel, because it already had all the building blocks in place long beforehand

First off this has nothing to do with feminism which is literally women being treated and seen as you know fucking human beings. it’s also very clear you’re NOT an ally so GTFO with that shit. Also you don’t get to come to a space for women and blame women for the actions of men. Saying that women are responsible for men being red pilled and misogynistic. That shit has been around since the beginning of time long before women even had a voice. So try again.
Women don’t have to coddle men because they get their feelings hurt for their own damn actions. Women have every right to feel the way we do and say it out loud. You’re lucky we only want equality and not revenge. If men don’t want to be called garbage don’t be garbage. Don’t be Misogynist pricks. It is MENS RESPONSIBILITY to fix this. It’s MENS responsibility to teach young men how to act. This isnt hard. Yet you guys still can’t figure it out and as usual you blame women instead of looking at yourself and doing and being better. Tale as old as time!
Also misandry isn’t a fucking thing either. Women are rightfully reacting to centuries of oppression from men. Women don’t oppress men. Women don’t control men. Women don’t control and regulate men’s bodies. Women don’t enact laws that hurt men. Women didn’t make men property. Women aren’t taking us back to the 1800 in current time.
So instead of sitting here playing the victim, which you’re not, stop and say to yourself hey why do women, feel the way they do about us? What are WE doing that makes women feel unsafe, not want to be around us, and so on. I’m so sick of reading shit like this.
