Well, if it’s a child, it’s no longer in the womb.

They repeat this so often that it’s a thought terminating cliche. That said, I’ll take the bait anyway.

I agree Candice, so does this mean that you support plans to expand health coverage to millions of working class Americans, especially Black Americans who have a much higher rate of negative pregnancy outcomes than their white counterparts. Expand access to affordable maternal care or even simply have one in their communities. This has been true when you equalize for things like income and education levels so maybe there’s a kind of racism in the healthcare system that needs addressing? Also, we know that environmental toxins have can cause serious birth defects, increased risk of fetal mortality and other negative pregnancy outcomes. Black people often to live in neighborhoods with increased exposures to various toxic chemicals including lead. I’m guessing you support increasing funding to the EPA and giving it and its state and local partners stronger powers to address that crisis too?
