Yeah, let's not mention the US state dept organizing a coup in Ukraine and trying to destabilize Russia, let's not mention the Russian population of Ukraine, who were never asked about joining Ukraine but given to an artificial country and treated like shit, being shelled and attacked since 2014. Let's not mention Ukraine being a corrupt authoritarian shithole, playground of the corrupt western and European elite. Let's not mention the biological weapons lab specifically researching Russian DNA. Sure, it's all about gas, Kyle, sure.

Let's not mention to StephaneFrechette that all those things didn’t happen in our world, but in the world where…
…the sky is grass green.
…regular coffee is pink.
…John Lennon and Yoko Ono never got together.
…the events of https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069947/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_2 really happened.
…Theresa May is still the British Prime Minister.
Someone has fallen for russian desinformation hook, line and sinker. The Euromaidan movement was very much one created by the people of Ukraine because they were FOR associating with the EU, but the government of the time was pretty much giving in to Russia’s demands to stop the process, which obviously angered a lot of people. The US had almost nothing to do with it. In fact strangely enough the then president of Ukraine fled to Russia… what a coincidence.
The russian speaking minority were then fed misinformation by Russia to stoke them against the Euromaidan movement, causing the crisis of 2014, which in turn ultimately led to this current war. By the way, newsflash, all countries are “artificial”. Ukrainians chose their independence after the Cold War in a fair way, even giving Russia their nuclear arsenal back to ensure their independence. It was Putin who unilaterally broke every single promise Russia made to them.
Yes, Ukraine has had problems with right-wing corruption under their last president, that’s why they voted for their current one, who actually did a decent job to get the country back on track. A clear danger for Putin, because now his pathetic war excuse of ridding the Ukraine of Nazis and corruption rings more than a little hollow.
Also, there is no “Russian DNA”. Therefore that alleged bioweapon is impossible, therefore it doesn’t exist.
“Let's not mention the biological weapons lab specifically researching Russian DNA.”
Yup, lets not, mostly cause it has nothing to do with any observable reality.
There’s a difference between Russian-speaking (in the Donbass) and proper Russians (in Crimea), or else France could claim Wallonia from Belgium.
Rests of the claims isn’t worthy to even debunk.
let's not mention the Russian population of Ukraine, who were never asked about joining Ukraine but given to an artificial country and treated like shit, being shelled and attacked since 2014.
Just thought I’d address this bit.
Guess what: the claim is false.
Even disregarding the laughable notion that Ukraine is somehow special in being “artificial” (every country is!), the fact is that the Russian population of Ukraine *was* asked a version of that question in the form of the Ukrainian independence referendum in 1991, along with every other Ukrainian.
And guess what?
They voted for it.
The Russian speaking Ukrainians? In favor. The ethnic Russian minority themselves? Also in favor.
Hell, even ethnic Russians in Crimea, later on a very separatistically inclined group, narrowly voted in favor of Ukrainian independence from the USSR in 1991. Even they did; let alone the people of, say, the Donbas.
Those views changed later on, of course. But that doesn’t change the fact that they were initially asked whether they support Ukraine becoming independent (with them as its citizens), and most of them said ‘yes’.
Confused?
