Go woke, Go broke. Disney needs to get out of politics and get back to entertaining the kids.

Go woke, watch conservative savants buy your product up so they can film themselves shooting it. Adidas, Busch, etc.
Or, like Target, watch CS sign a boycott, but still shop in your stores.
…Uhm, Disney does not usually get involved in politics, pal. But it IS a douche politician who decided HE gets to decide what kind of content Disney should produce. Which I’m pretty sure is unconstitutional.
Disney is only punching back.
I love how "getting out of politics" always means "Don't endorse politics I dislike."
Like you never see these idiots saying that fuckwit entertainers (like Kid Rock. Ted Nugent, Kevin Sorbo, or former president Trump as examples) should stay out of politics. They also don't seem to care about churches and religious programs getting involved in politics.
“Avengers: Endgame”. Beat “Avatar”’s record in breaking the billion in just five days . Falcon becoming Captain America at the end did that film, nay, the MCU as a whole no harm whatsoever. Political Correctness pays . Disney’s shareholders like that.
In Soviet Reality broke is you, (P)rick.
There do exist some companies who face something like a “get woke go broke” pressure, but even more who face something like a “get woke *or* go broke” pressure. And then there are a few like Disney who face both at the same time. So their usual “compromise” is showing a gay person or two in a brief, non-plot-significant scene which can be cut out for certain overseas markets. (The Owl House is most daring thing they’ve done, but it was created primarily for US audiences.) That’s about as close as they can get to not “being political”, the problem is that the far Right considers anything which doesn’t blatantly cater to their sensibilities to be “political”, because they consider their preferences to be the “default”… but doing so would be seen as taking a political side by everyone else.
I expect Disney has a clearer view of American culture than DeSantis and his advisors. Disney wants to stay successful in the future, and they think being "woke" will help ensure that. It's all about the Benjamins, baby.
Confused?
