May is National Military Appreciation Month.

And November has been, since 1996, National Veteran and Military Families Month.
Was going to point out that the military gets a whole month and veterans get another whole month, but @KeithInc. beat me to the punch, so just going to emphasize that.
This is like how “Menimists” and “Men’s Right’s Activists” whine every International Women’s Day about how there’s no International Men’s Day, when there actually *is* (Nov. 19) and some feminists even celebrate it a little. Granted feminists mainly use it to focus on men’s contribution to gender equality and MRA types wouldn’t like that if they were aware of it, but still.
Remembrance Day, yes. We also have Anzac Day, a major public holiday here in April. I always honour our diggers, including those who were queer and some were even in WWII, by getting up for the Dawn Service and the minute silence in November.
