The way TRAs treat detransitioners and desisters is actually disgusting. The fact that detransitioners and desisters know how the medical system treats the issue and are open about how fucked up it is threatens their ideology and cult-like indoctrination.

Whatever, I'm certainly not going to judge those who transition and end up regretting it. Life is weird and sometimes people end up making huge mistakes about who they are. But. But, I wonder, just how many such people detransition because they made a mistake about their gender identity, and how many do it because they get treated like shit all the time by transphobic assholes like you? Anyway, I'm also a bit sick of transphobes treating the small number of such people as some kind of proof that trans identities are invalid while ignoring the majority of trans people who transition without regret.

as far as my understanding goes, the difference between a “detransitioner” and a “desister” is, that a detransitioner is someone who started medical transitioning, while a desister only did social transition. I could be wrong though, or the OP could be using the terminology wrong.

IMO this post seems rather tame for Ovarit. I mean, just yesterday I saw them reacting to a trans women that picked her name in rememberance to a girl she had a really cute and sweet moment in her childhood with by invoking “the silence of the lambs”, saying things like “Seriously. He's (sic) celebrating his (sic) flower crown, but only because the skin suit in his (sic) closet is a one way ticket to prison.” and yelling things like “*name of the girl* Runnnnnn!!!!!! This poor woman needs to stay as far away as possible from him (sic)!”. Wish I copuld figure out how to properly cut it down to really show the insanity.

A detransitioner is someone who has gotten second thoughts about being transgender, regrets transitioning and has started transitioning back to their birth sex, right?

But what’s a desister?

You mean like nobody has any issue with them until they start shitting and condemning the whole concept of transness? Nobody’s telling off folks who’ve decided it’s not them, it’s not for them but at least the ones you bring up don’t do just that, they are hell bent, with your ideological full support to campaign against our own existence and that will not be tolerated.

The general detransition rates are extremely low in our first world communities and the people who do it out of actual innate regrets, instead of fiscal, health and social life circumstances, are a small percent of an already tiny percent. Even in those cases many of them do not find the whole concept of being trans and the community of actual people to blame but you always, ALWAYS will find us the one or two who do and want their “revenge”, which you will happily facilitate for them.

There’s a difference between someone who detransitioned because of personal issues (and this is why mainstream clinics ask very throughly about these matters) and someone who did this because of social pressure, which you seem to support by describing every transperson as a degenerate pervert.
