A fentanyl overdose would leave Floyd *physically incapable* of meaningful resistance and there are FAR better ways to restrain someone than kneeling on their neck. *Proper* police training, something that allegedly happens in the US, specifically warns against that shit because it is inefficient and lethal. It would also be an immediate medical emergency which - again - proper training has very different guidelines.
The unjustifiable force provoked months of protests, not riots. The police being openly encouraged and in quite a few cases explicitly ordered to rough up protestors and create every possible excuse to escalate force on a not-yet-hostile crowd is what provoked riots. Then-president Human-Dumpster-Fire repeatedly attempting to urge the use of deadly force as an initial response would certainly have garnered more of a reaction were he suggesting it against the armed Proud Boys, more than telling them to stand by for his signal to get rowdy I’d wager, but I digress.
The child murderer you referenced was immediately punished and that punishment reported on. No colossal movement to get law enforcement to do their actual jobs was neccessary and there’s not a lot to say after a quickly and thoroughly resolved problem is dealt with and dealt with appropriately. You’re upset that it wasn’t turned into a months-long propaganda piece calling for a racial purge and more importantly that it doesn’t drown out the ongoing news you don’t want to hear. The beef of BLM that gets constantly validated in practice is that violence and other crimes against the average black person does NOT get punished the same as it would a white person - police procedure goes right out the fucking window - and more likely than not the victims are subjected to further indignities if somebody so much as mentions their name in public. There’s a presupposition of guilt and criminal intent even when there’s no crime and a default attitude of territorial aggression leveled against black people on sight. Because of this once police get involved black men in particular are genuinely in greater danger of dying than if they were being held at gunpoint by a mugger and their actions have no bearing whatsoever on how officers will treat them or how eagerly shitposters will slide the goalposts back and forth on a rocket trolly to justify that treatment. After the “falling acorn” incident I could make a convincing case that a dangerous number of white people have a full-blown psychotic episode and begin hallucinating once they have an interracial interaction and they’re not treated any better when the officer is also black. A black officer recieves the same racially slanted - sometimes literally SS inspired - training that pushes disproportionate force and additionally they’re under pressure not to look soft or sympathetic to “thugs” and will go psychotically heavy handed just to keep some semblance of trust about where their “loyalties” lie. Not that it really saves them from their white counterparts in the end.
Your beef first of all is that simply existing isn’t punishable by law (not that it really stops a lot of cases from happening) and that punishment is not collectively administered a hundredfold to people who did absolutely nothing because that’s the kind of scumbag you are and that’s the kind of behaviour that gangs emulate because it’s the only thing that scumbags like you actually fucking respect being exclusively interested in helpless targets actively trying to appease you and live to standards you do not apply to yourself instead of the dangers you portray them as. And when somebody DOES face justice, like Chauvin, it’s usually only after a national movement and the general attitude applied is “here you got an undeserved cookie now shut the fuck up forever about everything past present and future even though its definitely going to happen again” and the problem that culminates in these movements persists.
You never learn, do you? You just make up an alternate reality that suits your ego better. Been doing it since before Fort Sumter, been doing it to your white countrymen even when they put you far ahead of more deserving citizens who haven’t tried to overthrow their government multiple times, and you’ll keep doing it right until your final breath.
