I don’t think they are equal to normal people, I think they ARE normal people.
Oh sorry, I didn’t realize that my status as a ‘normal’ person, equal to everyone else when it comes to my rights, is decided upon by some random asshole on the internet! And my ability to marry too! Refreshingly without even any argument aside from an implied as well as childish ‘because I said so!’ from them.
Fortunately the world doesn’t bend to your will. And that fact alone is very satisfying for me.
We don't pay taxes to the church. Churches don't decide who can visit their loved ones in the hospital, who inherits after someone dies, who can be a beneficiary of an insurance plan or who can adopt. It's a marriage, get over yourself.
That’s interesting to know, but it’s your opinion only. In my country (and I know we were late coming to the party, or wedding reception) 62% of people in 2017, decided that homosexuals, and also transgender people, can now marry the love of their lives! If you don’t like SSM, and this should be simple enough even for you, don’t have one.
