“When”? You’re assuming Trumpigula will still be alive or even Potus by the time it takes to annex Canada (and I doubt Congress will be as willing once he’s gone). Remind me again how long Putin thought it would take to conquer Ukraine? And how long has it been since?

Um… If Canada won the gold, and Canada no longer exists, then no one can claim the gold except the athletes. Who will probably go compete for someplace in Europe.

With the government already having basically made atrocities their official doctrine of war and all their influencers already having renounced the concept of international law in favour of Might Makes Right with the Maduro strike at the latest, I guess there are few ways left to escalate in the chickenhawk-shockjockeys’ race to the bottom besides coming up with even more stupid, more taunting, more flagrantly unjust reasons to go to war.

I think the Canadian winter would hinder an American army since 40% of its soldiers are from the South.
