A “200 million-year-old” crocodile fossil.
Scientists drilled it and found collagen —
then sequenced it.
Problem: collagen can’t survive millions of years.
So maybe the timeline is wrong.

OR we’re wrong about how long certain proteins last… I mean, you’re willing to posit at least one error.
Either way it’s a new observation.
Science will grow.
AND creationism will… Stay pretty much the same.
Look, I’m not an expert on the science behind that myself, but at this point the learned & respected scientists have been proven countless times to be FAR more correct on ANY subject than uneducated moron Eric Hovind has been. So I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
You know, Eric, what’s really funny?
You put scare quotes around the age of the fossil because you don’t believe science dating. Because you don’t believe the Earth is millions of years old.
But you accept AS FUCKING GOSPEL that scientists told you collagen doesn’t last millions of years.
You certainly don’t have the education to test either statements yourself, nor does your idiot father. You’re stuck picking and choosing from what the scientists provide you…
And it’s scientists that even found the proteins, not creationists.
And that’s hilarious.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
