Exactly this. They would have a better point if they were creationists who don't believe in the theory of evolution, but I just find it funny that since our opposors claim to be so "science-based," that they're more than likely evolutionists, who believe in Darwin's theory of evolution. But somehow, under the same breath, they state that we lack any primordial or animalistic insticts of mate attraction that animals similar to humans intrinsically have. Their excuse is that it's "more complicated," when it's actually just hypocrisy at its finest. They only like science when it fits their worldview.

Riiigggghhhht, except what makes elk genetics ‘good’ or desirable isn’t what makes human genetics ‘good’. Plus, with elk, the males literally drive their competition away and then rape the females. Who the females are attracted to doesn’t matter. The males are the ones drooling over the females, not the other way around. Country boy speaking here. If you want to lure a deer in, you trick a buck into thinking there’s a female nearby. When you clash antlers together, you’ll never draw in a doe, but you will draw in a buck hoping to get in on the action. It’s the same with all animals.

But seriously, you should reach out to your fellow elkcels to teach the alphas their place.

Now actually serious, human survival and success depends on more than being big. Intelligence, dedication, and amicability, all aspects connected to personality, are much more important in how successful someone is. Plus, wouldn’t it work the same way with male-to-female attraction?

Though, yeah, better-looking people have it easier and can usually attain better-looking partners, the crucial flaw of incel theory is applying universal rules and thought patterns to the female psyche, while holding males to a different standard for no reason other than their own anecdotes.

The animal documentaries you watch must be trash (would not surprise if he believes those made-for-TV Jaws rip-offs posing as documentaries about still-living megalodons are actual documentaries). There are plenty of documentariees that show the intricacies of interactions in social species and the fact that such contests are usually not fought to the death but rather much shorter “comment fights” with relatively low direct risk of injury where the other gives up easily, they often do not serve to impress the female but to intimidate the rival, and extremely often are NOT about brute physiccal strength.

Not every animal species mating habits are going to be the same as elks, for instance, the vast majority of avaian species (about 90% or so) and ten percent of mammalian species are monogamous in nature, meaning they mate for life, then there's species where the females are the ones doing the courting, then there's species
Like mantis where the female eats the male during the act. Nature is a hellofalot more varied then what you're making it out to be.

You don't watch all that many nature shows, i see. And what you do know, you're mixing up.
First off, if it's a fight, the winner gets the females, it's not her (or their) choice. If it's to ghe death, what choice does she even have?

Second, there are plenty of species where the males don't fight at all. They just try to get the female's interest. This is where SHE gets a choice, the males are subject to her.

Either way, not all species are alike, and none of them are how you think they zll are.

For mating, male ruffs gather in grassy areas called leks, where they compete for the favour of the females, although the actual copulations often occur outside of it, with the male following the female. The females mste with several males, more so than any other bird with this kind of mating behaviour.

There are three distict morphs of males:
The vast majority of males, about 84%, are large territorial or independent males, who have fixed spots in the lek they return to every year. They actively court the females and intimidate the other territorial males with elaborate displays.
About 16% of males are satellite males, who are smaller and have white or spotted feathers. They hang out in the leks and try to mate with the females, but do not have territories in the lek. The territorial males tolerate the satellites because females prefer leks that include both types of male and because it increases the number of males in the lek, again making it more attractive.
