yeah, that’s just going to cause more problems then it solves… the USSR broke apart and now most of them are run by far-right dictators, what’s to say that the same won’t happen to a post-United States America?
Honestly, every nation around the world has… very bad history associated with them, it’s just a fact of humanity, we have a nasty habit of being pricks to each other, even the decent folks. We need to come to terms that the world can not be fixed via a simple one size fit all solution, it has to be damn complex because we humans are complex creatures. And one of those answers is just reforming the structure but not dissolving it completely either, our nations’ founders made sure that we had a process to change the structure of our government if we need too, they weren’t perfect and they knew that any government they create won’t be perfect either so they made sure that there was a process to change the government if the need comes up, and so far, we’ve had changed our government a good twelve or so times now.
As to the White ‘crying’ Supremacists, even back then reactionaries were clamoring for an older time, there never was a ‘good ‘ol days’ every era in America (and other countries) history is full of ups and downs, but never just solely ups and downs, the worse eras in American history still had its’ ups and the best eras in American history still had its’ downs. But that’s not the ‘Old America’ you’re talking about, you’re talking about the era in American history in which straight, white, protestant men can basically do whatever the fuck they want without repercussions, socially, economically, politically, or what have you, but that never existed either! Yes, most of American history is full of that but it also shows that it has limits too, even back during the very early days of our nation's existence as an ‘only land-owner white men can vote’ days, and that lasted a few decades before it ended entirely, the Second KKK of the 1920s dissolved due to a rape case against the leader of the movement that shocked the nation, the whole nation, that includes the whites, and that, in turn, led to the slow death of the second klan. Then there’s the fact that the term ‘white’ was very subjective throughout American history, it simply was just one group of Europeans before eventually changing to include everyone European. There never was a Old America that you and your ilk had, it never existed and it never will
